Bummer for East Carolina. They've been enough of a factor in the postseason that you can't write them off as a mid major anymore. They're an Omaha program that just hasn't gotten there yet.

AU ran into something last night they havent seen all year...Elite pitching. Hjerpe as advertised. AU pitching was also good again, other than 2 E-1s throwing to 1B. But Beavs returned the 2 free gifts w/ past balls. Final should of been 2-1 OSU. Ill never complain, feel bad losing those kind of games.

I think I give AU a slight edge pitching wise tonight, but it probably wont matter. Crooked innings(multiple) or lose most likely. One of only 10 of 301 still left playing. Passed my expectations 54 teams ago..lol

Nope, just dont put much if anything into game 1. 4 guys started that day for AU that havent started since SEC play began. I recall a lot of 'at em balls' in huge park.

Hjerpe different level than Redman IMo. I was just happy w/ contact last night.

Let’s go Auburn. Need a Southeastern conference champion.

Just best Ive seen this year. Apparently rest of nation agrees

Theyve made a lot of Ps look great this year. Ask Kentucky. I suspect it will happen again tonight. Little hot streak put to an end last night.

Im not judging Hjerpe on AU results. Watch what he does to Ole Miss this Saturday. Or wager it, if it into that.

Exactly.. I never want a non AU person rooting for AU,,, irks me actually.. Why my goal as a fan has always been to make others hate them..;)

You the man Lurk but I think it serves several purposes…

Shows the true dominance of our league.

I think it also serves as motivation to hopefully our coaching staff. As for a team like Auburn to be knocking on the door of the college World Series and us sitting at home, well if that doesn’t motivate our leaders and I don’t know what will. Not like it’s Georgia or FSU-that’s a different story. Hope it’s also motivating to our players as at best we are 6th best in our league.

this one kind of goes back to the first one in that I don’t want to see any other team from any other region win as immediately the pundits will jump all over and say the SEC must not be that good.

Auburn winning motivates us. I don't think so.
