Maybe one day we will get a Jud to Hickey throw out at the plate in the bigs.
Almost zero top 10 round picks come back. They are drafted where they are because they will sign. Hickey, Scott, Mace, Jud. All will be gone.
Jacob Young just got taken in the 7th round, pick #203, by the Nationals. Slot value $225,800.
JY was at MLB combine so likely an indicaton to go pro. He would probably improve his stock value some with another solid year but my sense- he's gone- I'm sorry to say.
Vols got a kid - Chase Burns - supposedly skipping on whomever picked him.
We can hope!
Burns hasn’t been drafted yet. With his draft rating and the current picks, he is likely going to school at Tenn.
At this point, you have to like UF’s chances of keeping:
OF - Michael Robertson #91
P - Philip Abner #114
P - Pierce Coppola #118
P - Jac Cagliolone #132
P - Karl Hartman #161
C - Rene Lastres #186
P - Brandon Neely #206
Ranger, keep Vol crap out of this site.
Jack Leftwich got selected in the 7th round, pick #216, by the Indians - slot value $203,400.
They're in the 9th round now, picks in the 250-s and 260's, and none of these guys have been selected yet. Potentially great news for Gators.
There are a 18 high school players, ranked anywhere from #20 to #95, who have not yet been drafted. Could it be that they told MLB they were going to college and not waste a pick on them?
Yeah it is as simple as they wanted X and no one was willing to pay it.
This is why anyone drafted in the single digit rounds WILL sign. It isn’t about talent.
Maybe he hits good pitching better than bad pitching.
Will Taylor - #20 (Clemson)
Peyton Stovall - #29 (Arkansas)
Gage Jump - #43 (USCw)
Chase Burns - #47 (Tenn)
Josh Hartle - #48 (Wake Forest)
Jackson Baumeister - #53 (SWAC)
Thatcher Hurd - #60 (UCLA)
Tommy Dilandri - #61 (TCU)
Cody Schrier - #63 (UCLA)
Alex Mooney - #64 (Duke)
Braden Montgomery - #66 (Stanford)
Davis Diaz - #71 (Vandy)
Eric Hammond - #73 (USCw)
Brody Brecht - #77 (Iowa)
Michael Robertson - #93 (UF)
Braylon Bishop - #94 (Arkansas)
Malakhi Knight - #95 (UCLA)
So are we all now Cleveland Indian fans or do we hate the Indians??
Drafted Mace, Leftwich, and Aleman plus recruit Jake Fox!!
And so Day 2 of the draft is done. Starting at Noon tomorrow we do the final Rounds 11-20. There are no slot $$ for these last rounds.
There must have been one guy off the list picked between the time I did my original count and you made your list. Thanks for the work.
There was a guy who was from UGA (Connor). There were 18 total less than 95 but one was already in college.
This could be excellent news for the incoming class at Florida. Only Painter, Petty, Allen & Fox were chosen in the first 10 rounds, in spite of 7 more guys ranked within the Top 7 rounds.
I think the Indians forgot to send their scouts to any other games.
