Great news! Lets get another one today!
Could you elaborate? Just curious.
Yep and Mullen's 4th ever composite 5* recruit
Things they are a changin
247 lists hevesy as the primary recruiter fir Chris Jones...
That wasn’t here
Those two factors you mention -- both longevity of our coaches to build relationships with high school coaches/up and coming players, and elite facilities compared to primary competition for the elite recruits -- are key pieces to the puzzle. They are now rounding in to place.
fat fingers on this one I'm guessing, @scooterp ?
Must have. I honestly don’t remember reading your post. Nothing in there I would disagree with
Right, but it shows that he had the personality to recruit and sign a 5* player.
Now it maybe incorrect info, it may have included a bag unbeknownst to hevesy, it may have been a lifelong dream of jones to play at MSU,or he could have been the one in a million 5* guy who was immediately drawn to hevesy.
But its pretty interesting regarding a coach who most think has close to zero recruiting skills.
Florida adds No. 2-ranked CB Jason Marshall to loaded class
Florida added a top-50 prospect to its 2021 recruiting class on Sunday when ESPN 300 cornerback Jason Marshall announced his commitment to the Gators.
Marshall is the No. 42-ranked prospect overall and the No. 2 corner in the country. He's a 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect out of Miami Palmetto High School in Miami, and he's one of four ESPN 300 recruits from the same high school.
Two of his teammates, defensive tackles Leonard Taylor and Savion Collins, are committed to Miami, while ESPN 300 safety Corey Collier Jr. is uncommitted. Collier is expected to announce his commitment on Monday and is down to Florida, Miami and LSU.
Many thought Miami had a good shot with Marshall because of the Hurricanes' efforts recruiting him combined with his teammates committing to the program, but Florida had been making a push of its own.

I don’t hate on the man, I just think he’s got a diff philosophy in regards to recruiting. But the belief of what he does or doesn’t do on the trail is based solely off past production. I personally lean to him recruiting to what his preference is and that’s fine. I don’t have nearly the problem with Hev as I do with what in the world Knox is truly doing, I’ve posed ? Of wouldn’t it work to just get him some sort of aide to supplement his efforts. But what do I know
Hopefully no one hates him, but his motto doesn't appear to be. "Bring the best to Gainesville". Which in the recruiting world isn't the best strategy usually.
The thing about hev and knox is they are pretty intertwined. If hevs OL is on, so is Knox RBs. Can't really have one without the other.
The odd thing to me is we hear mullen nixing 4* guys like Knighton, the NC RB, and others. But he lets hev grab guys like Strickland?
Why are there more replies on that forum thread than fans in the seats? Welcome Jason. Make yourself be proud.
Don't forget Kaiir Elam, even though he was a legacy, UGA was sure they had him. But we all know how that went down.
