Hopefully Ms. Mullen approves of their size as well, Dan always looking out for her
You have a weird obsession for Dan, you're definitely mad he's not your HC at your dead program?
LT could barely do 300 2 week ago. He building up his strength pretty quick. I still love is ceiling.
Would someone kindly flush this toilet.
Wait ‘til Savage gets him!
Rare that a DT can come in as a true freshman and play, especially one that is not an early enrollee. You need to have superior lower body and upper body strength, great technique, film study, conditioning, ....
Watson is more physically ready currently. CeCe Jefferson was a tweener that was not fast enough to be a DE and not big enough to be a DT. Always a worry with some DL at the HS level. Do they have a position at college level. Not a worry with Watson.
Thats a lot of weight still. If he flips to the Gators to join his other teammates? Why degrade a high school kid for benching 300 lbs (Barely)?
Nothing about benching 300 is degrading lol. Simple comparison to show how underrated Watson is. When you’re #1, you are what people get compared to.
So much regret from that trashy fanbase. They passed up on Mullen twice and passed up on Leach. Last summer they were hyping “Manolo’s” embrace of the old school Canes only to watch him get his sh!t pushed in by Butch and FIU.
Lol that last summer hype was ridiculous. Tried to warn them that they probably are getting Ron Zook/Will Muschamp level HC (a coach who cam recruit but not put it together on the field) but it fell on deaf ears. He came in late, had to throw together a staff and break in a brand new QB and started the season against UF. Recipe for disaster although we almost gave the game away
They are in DEEP trouble if Lashlee isn't a better OC than Enos and if King doesn't recapture his UofH magic
Didnt we just sack your quarterback again? What is that 11?
I agree Watson is undderrated. He tosses OL like Slaughter around Like ragdolls at camps. Has to work on stamina though. But I’m still hoping for a LT flip... because he can bench 300 lbs, and his film.
All the recruiting tenacity of Zook, all the game management skills of Muschamp.
That fan base is super bipolar. One second they're blasting him, next second he's Jesus, then back to blasting him. He's their version of Muschamp, great D mind but gawd AWFUL game day coach that panic fires AC's but will recruit very good classes that will still lose to 3/4 less talented teams.
Getting intel from Palmetto has been a mixed bag. We've been getting different narratives every day. Having said that, LT seems to be set on Miami. There's a reason he didn't pull the trigger on UF all spring and summer. Seems like he was just looking for an excuse to go to Miami
I think you miss read what i wrote or its wasn't clear enough. I was praising the fact that he has pushed himself to be able to lift that much in a short period of time. Kid is like 16-17 at that age i was lifting sub 200lbs
The simple facts are that the University of Miami can no longer compete for championships, in large part due to their limited athletic department budget. They can’t afford a HC with the experience of a Dan Mullen or other top programs. They pay less than half in salaries to their coaching staff. Their facilities are average and they have to rent a stadium to play in that is 30 plus minutes from campus. They have not won anything since joining the ACC and they can’t win their division, even without Clemson in their schedule each year.
