I like the sound of that. Hope it's our staff shooting straight.

For all the negative buzz about smith going to Georgia that comment in particular gives me hope because all we have heard about the staff is they are honest and shoot straight

I still think UGA leads but we can close the gap and make it interesting. I feel good on Zxavier and I feel pretty good on Poitier, so I would take a class of Manuel, Fraziors, Zxavier, Smith, and Poitier and call it a class. If any of those don't pan out, definitely would take Damien Alford as a replacement.

WR/H-Back/TE Jeremiah Johnson last month was talking about possibly taking visits so if he does, I can see him decommiting as we're starting to advise these kids to shut it down and he's also one I see a lot of people wouldn't mind going elsewhere.

If that happens, I hope the staff does replace him and reaches out to Kaleb Long, see what's up with Lambert, Britt will be there if he wants in, and don't forget Eric Shaw and the recently offered Demarcus Beckwith. As far as Jahiem Bell, I don't see him coming back to the class but you know we'd take him back quickly.

Also, I would add, even if he looks like a football player, when he comes to a school that has a top notch track program, the expectation is that he is there for track and he will dabble in football. You can see with a talented guy like Cleveland that wide receiver has a learning curve in college football and much more so with the NFL, and if Smith's times on the track are correct, he is probably closer to good money in professional track than he is at professional football. I think we need to be careful to maximize our scholarships when we are looking at dual sport guys.

"WR Xzavier Henderson of Miami told Gators Territory he is down to Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU and Alabama. Those five will get his official visits. He has set January 4th for his announcement. Henderson visited Clemson March and was back for a two day visit in June."

Hmm, I wonder how many of those teams will still have a spot open for a receiver come Jan.

Of course he’ll sign with LSU. Kids from the State of Louisiana don’t leave to sign anywhere else but Bama. He was never coming to Florida.

But don’t worry, Rivals.com rates 13 receivers, essentially a fifth of the State of Florida’s top-65 players, four stars or higher. All we have to do is sign four or five of those guys and, like they say down on Greenmount and 33rd, “We GOOD.”

    Yurd me?

I wouldn't be shocked at all because it seems like that's what we do with everybody

We've done very well with football/track athletes in the past, but other schools might not have...

It sure is looking like it. Pouncey, Moore, and Marvin Scott all got slow played by the staff and now look at em.

Grades, character, other priorities? Who knows? It so hard to second guess from our perspective.

Yep. It's a complete waste of time speculating on recruiting.

That's what makes recruiting fun lol

and it definitely can't be grades if they're still holding on to Leonard Manuel
