December 18, 2019 for many of the top recruits that sign on ESD. Almost 4 months away.
I think it says something that the staff has not seemed to panic and offered other backs at this time. I get the sense that based on their actions they must feel confident in someone,
I agree. There's literally no reason besides they have some REALLY good traction with a RB recruit to give off the vibe that they are dragging their feet and seem incompetent. Has to be more than meets the eye.
Based on the early returns of Nayquan Wright he might be recruiting just fine.
Are we recruiting ASmith as a running back? Is that Arian or someone else?
Sorry, was speaking of Emmitt’s kid from Dallas. Was just referencing a Smith or Bowman type feature back that Bama, UGA (and even Miami the last two classes) bring in every year.
I agree with above poster on Wright. He was a 5 star pre-injury that sidelined him one year in HS. Can he stay healthy and return to previous form? I read articles on what a fine young man he was personally and in community. Hope he excels, as he was only back signed last year. Will only have 4 backs when Perine leaves after this season, and Davis has yet to make it through a season. Not a lot of depth.
Low key, i can see Clement hitting the portal by this time next year if he hasn't made an traction on the depth chart. He's young and talented, but he seems to be "stuck" as the 4th back
I have no direct knowledge but based on what you mentioned, I do believe there is something going on behind the scenes. Something.... good?
Clement has a great opportunity on defense this year, if he has the desire. He's very versatile. Could probably play WR or slot in a pinch.
Very true but if he isn’t going to get major time in year three, I could see him weighing his options. He has talent and may get a shot at Sundays. Might be a long shot but he has to see the field. Depends on how much of an opportunity he is going to get here. Cronk had to leave to play. I hope Clement gets that opportunity here but you never know.
I laughed at your quote, not because of its validity, but I sometimes chuckle at some of your "quips", like "low key" and other things you've posted. Reminds me of how I normally talk to/about people.
Lol yea i tend to type out my everyday slang. I haven't even dove into saying the same word twice when trying to emphasize something like "oh, you big BID mad huh?" Lol.
Word is we've hired another staff member but i cant find the name of who it is. Somebody with FSU ties
Yeppers. Just saw it
Just over 4 months.
Yeah agreed as need 5-6 backs. 4 is way thin.
Defense is where he’s headed.
60-70 pct gonna sign early. Need commitments before December.
Arian Smith was primarily a running back at his old high school but I doubt he's transferring to Lakeland HS to play behind Bowman. Decent hands and world class speed will take him a long way. Don't think anyone is recruiting him as a RB.
