Perine imo is an outstanding back. Initially underrated. I agree. At the same time however I would always strive to get top talent. If you have an opportunity to sign a 5* RB for example, that’s what you do.

He’s currently 5’ 10”, 180. With a frame that could carry 25 additional pounds. I don’t think he’s an every down back either, but we don’t really recruit those necessarily. He has great initial burst and good tech moves. Decent hands. I think right now, he’s our best option from a narrowing field.

Keyvone will be here for FNL and (I don't have Rivals premium) EJ has set up a visit as well. Don't know if it's for FNL though

If we don't get DB from Clemson, I don't like any particular back as the workhorse RB (Drennan, Knighton, Lee, Toafili); however, I like the vision of Scott, so I would take him regardless of his ranking, but he does not have a committable offer at this point, so there are some talented RB that our coaches are holding out on.

I like Scott as well. Way ahead of most HS guys strength-wise.

Is that a good or bad thing? I say bad because could that mean he maxes out physically in HS and doesn't have much upside? i haven't watched his tape to know his playing style

Of course but not as important a position as others.

I am curious why people are still holding out for Demarkcus Bowman. I know people were penciling him in last year as a Gator, but he committed to Clemson pretty early.

Is it just wishful thinking? Is there anything basing this on other than wishful thinking? Fantasy? Why keep mentioning him at this point?

Because until signature hits paper, nothing is ever official.

On a more serious note, since it came down to UF and Clemson and he pledged early, the coaches haven't stopped trying to recruit him as well as a few other Gator pledges. Bow is pretty quiet about his commitment and was quiet about his recruitment as well so that's adding to the suspense.

Do you suppose Dabo makes his recruits put a tracking app on their phones to confirm their movements to assure they are not in Tuscaloosa, Gainesville, or Athens?

The QB. Absolutely. Spread option hybrid relies on that RB however to open up the pass and break the TE’s out and vice versa.

I think they have to wear house arrest ankle bracelets with big orange paw prints on them.

Emory Jones was committed to OSU for awhile too. Things change. Wouldn't surprise me if we signed him. That said it wouldn't surprise me if he signed with CU either.

    I think a little taller than 5”10. I think he’s in the 6”0 to 6”1 range.

It’s possible that he maxed out in HS (I doubt it), but even if he did, he’s a state champ weightlifter at 199 lb. He put up a 405 lb bench press (his BP is only 25lb shy of the US high school record at his weight) and a 295 clean and jerk (the FL state HS record is 335 lb)

Even if he never adds an ounce to those lifts in college he’ll still be stronger than 95% of college RBs. That clean 295 lb clean and jerk is 70% of the world record at his weight.

Anyone who’s competitive in the Olympic lifts is an explosive athlete. 5’9” 199lb guy w that kind of strength can play in the SEC w the right coaching IMHO. Nay’Quan Wright is 5’8” and Dameon Pierce is 5’10” so we have guys on the roster Scott’s height already.

I think he’d be a good addition to our roster. We shall see.

Yea we shall see. Oh, I wasn't saying it was bad, I was just giving my reason behind a reason someone could call it a bad thing. I hope he hasn't maxed out.
