Sounds good but if he wants in, I couldn’t fathom that type of legacy not being automatic.
To be fair, that is generally the case for most dual threat QB's this early on. I believe he's still a JR in HS right now. IMO both Jalon and Anthony Jones look explosive. Particularly intrigued with jalon. That kids a grown ass man
Agree. I think hed definitely have to be a +1. But I think hed take a lot of resources, time and effort to want in.
I agree. Let’s put a guy with great size and hands that catch everything thrown his way at OLB. Great use of his talent.
Muschamp is that you?
The Jones boys look promising but there has to be better, more developed dual threat QBs in the '20 class than Richardson. I know Mullen knows how to develop QBs but he's not at Mississippi State anymore. He's at UF. The last time he coached here, he successfully recruited five star DT QBs who became Heisman Trophy winners and led teams to national championships. Is he so smart that he can win championships with diamond in the rough QBs in our own backyard? We're going after the best players at every other position, except QB.
Okay, forget Smith at WR but I want him in this class. I keep hearing A&M for EJ but the Crystal Balls keep saying UF. Agree that Bowman is our top target and it's great to have Lee committed but I've watched enough of their clips to put Lee behind Smith as a running back. If we get everyone we want and only two are RBs, I'd rather see Lee on defense. There's a reason he's listed as an athlete and maybe just as good a reason he's ranked below Smith. I don't know where EJ fits but he's a hell of running back and as good a receiver as any RB in this class. Lee looks like a big, fast guy who gets by on being big, fast and playing against small schools. I also have a preference for north and south runners and Lee is a bit of a north, south, east and west guy. He doesn't have the instincts, balance or hands Smith has and not the explosiveness of Bowman. Lee would make a devastating OLB. His HUDL profile lists him as a RB and DE.
I feel there is A LOT more going on here in the recruitment of Richardson.
I am not saying that he would be switched to another position...
And I do feel that Richardson is or...can become a very talented QB.
I just feel that Coach Mullen is a very smart man and that he knows what he is doing.
Read between the lines...
Not at all. He either wants to come to UF or go someplace else. He's an intelligent kid with a supportive family. There's a lot of talk of him following his sister to A&M but I don't think they're close or even grew up together since they have different mothers. I'm sure Emmitt goes to watch Rheagan play but I doubt his wife does. What other team has his dad's jersey number as a permanent fixture in their stadium?
I really don’t think EJ is all that interested in UF.
Cmon. You know it's not that simple. These kids want the spotlight. They want the attention. Biggest thing we always hear is who is recruiting them the hardest.
Now I dont know the smith family, so maybe ej is different.
Leonard Manuel is now a 5 star
Leonard Manuel, Vanguard, Wide Receiver
The more money the family has... equals less need for attention. That's what I have seen to be the case, most of the time. But then again there are tons divas playing high school football too. I just don't think EJ is one of them.
Agree 100%. EJ grew up as the son of a celebrity. He knows getting attention is a double edged sword. The family is being very smart about this. We won't know anything until they're ready to let everyone know.
Congrats to Leonard Manuel for his 5th star. I bet we end up with two or three five star signees this year.
Who’s this “Leonard Manuel” you refer to? I thought this was a thread about the UF 2020 RB board. I should really “off topic” your post....
This is a thread about 2020. Gator Commitment #7. WR Leonard Manuel.Vanguard HS. Ocala FL., please stay on topic.
Some things there just ain't no forgettin'.
One of my all time favorite actors.
