You are correct he's a grad transfer which means he will have 2 years of immediate eligibility. Also means he's a sharp kid to get his degree in 3 years!

I bet Jordan just took Malik Heath's spot. Not sure if we have room for both Pouncey and Heath.

Nah. We need two more WRs. Whether it’s Xzavier Hendo or Heath... I think the first one who wants the spot.

Jordan's offer list included ND, Bama, and others. Anyone know enough about Texas to speculate on whether his lack of production there was in part a function of talented players in front of him? I thought they slung it around...

I know he only played in 8 games this season .

I know he was rated low out of high school, but he had a good offer list and went to Texas who doesn't reach outside of the state unless they love the prospect.

Solid pickups. Both will help down the road. Need Henderson and Heath, would be a great haul at W.R.

Jordan should be able to compete for a starting spot with lots of freshman. Marks, Whittmore, Weston and Jackson will be in the mix. Add in Grimes, Toney, Copeland, Pitts and Wells. Pretty well rounded group and good numbers. Heath would be a nice pickup for sure.

Jordan is not a Grad Transfer based on info I have. He will apply for a waiver and if he does not get it will sit a year and have 2 to play 2. Of course if he gets the waiver he can play immediately. Both plan to enroll early.

Well, maybe he does trust us now.

But I'm not a fan AT ALL of this quote:
“Well yeah, I’m really excited,” he said. “It’s the biggest decision of my life. ... I get to, you know, me being Mr. Hollywood, I get to add a little drama effect to it, so that makes me even more excited.
“It’s just a real big build-up and I think people will either be hating me or loving me, so we’ll see how that works out.”

    Ugh.

Reading the tea leaves, it seems like we are OK with imbalance in our last pick ups. We're offering Marlon Martinez to lure Marcus Dumervil. We offered Jordan Pouncey to lure Ethan.

Jordan had some good offers out of HS, but he did nothing at Texas in 2 seasons and it's not like Texas was stacked at WR and it's not like Texas plays in a defense-first league. Who knows, but it seems like 2-to-get-1. Same for Martinez. He has an impressive offer list, but I think teams are also recruiting him to lure Dumervil. I guess if it works, it works, right? That's two scholarship players who may not see the field all that much. Is that something we can afford?

My biggest concern is that we're not super solid at WR right now and we may strike out at RB. Our defensive recruiting seems to be good, but in 2021, we'll be starting a new QB and you want some veteran skill players to help out. Right now, I'm scared that won't happen, but I have faith that there is a plan in place.

Well, when was the last time we were at the 85 scholarship limit? It's been forever. So having some extra bodies isnt a bad idea.

He has redshirted, so he has 2 to play 2. If he sits this season will only play one year.
Hoping he can graduate and play next year

Ole Miss players talking of leaving after their coach (foolishly ) got fired. I hope some of the better ones have an interest in us. Same with Mizzou.

Not sure I would want anyone from that team to be honest. They have a serious culture problem and we have zero idea which ones were tainted by boosters.
