The writing was on the wall here. He decommited from Miami 4 days after UF visit.

Is this good because the kid is a great athlete from Florida and can ball? Or, is it bad because Mullen can only get 3*s and he comes from Mount Dora?

Great get at this point. Tough to overstate how much damage has been done to the UF brand among the current HS cohort and younger. Getting kids like this in July and putting a decent product on the field in fall are the first building blocks to getting back to upper tier recruiting.

Good fit in the scheme I believe. As I stated in the last Candy Gram he is a high 3 *.

In Grantham's defense, we need a lot of LB depth. This kid will probably RS and develop a year and come in as a RSF at about 232. Hes quick and strong and will be a good future LB for us.

Lots of good 3* LB's out there.

He has committed to us. Have we committed to him? None of the recruiting services have listed him yet.

I did some digging and found out that he is ranked #29 at his position by Rivals. I also found an 2017 article on Pierre where he was the Orlando Sentinel # ranked 2019 recruit at that time. Of course he was going into his Junior season then. Not a lot of offers but did include UF, scum, UGA and UK.

Mullen built a better product than we’ve seen in awhile with exactly this type of player. Welcome aboard gator.

Miami is killing it in recruiting. If he's good enough for richt he's good enough for uf.

Mullen has not sent out his “Too The Swamp” message yet, so perhaps not a commitable offer

    This might help:
The first person he told Sunday was Gators assistant coach [quarterbacks] Brian Robinson.

“I told Coach Robinson. All of the coaches are on vacation so I’ll probably talk to the rest of them throughout today,” Pierre said. “[Coach Robinson] was really excited about it and he talked to me about life in general, as well.

    “It was a good conversation.”

This is big. Ignore the rankings: Jim McElwain and Randy Shannon are ace player evaluators, and a one star from south Florida is worth 87 stars anywhere else in the country.

Er, sorry. Forgot to update the macro from last year. Dan Mullen and Todd Grantham are ace player evaluators, of course. My bad.

Was coming on here to say the same thing. He is 4 star ESPN and high 3 most places. Kid can ball and has potential with ridiculous size/ athleticism. He is raw and could take a year or two to show Star power.

Reading these posts has me wishing Will Muschamp would come back to be our DC. We need his recruiting ability on the defensive side of the ball. Clearly people on this board forgot what UF defenders are supposed to look like.

I’m so glad he’s never coming back. Mullen has done more than he has with much less. Same as Central Florida kicking Auburn’s ass with a bunch of 2&3*s. Mullen will get his players when he turns this thing around. There is more talent(stars) on our roster than Miss St or Central FL. The difference is evaluation and coaching. We will have to wait a bit for top 5 classes. Lumpy isn’t the answer, that’s why he’s at SC.
