Nice to have another DT QB commit for this class. Like the fact that Meyer was after the same kid. They know the types of kids that will be good fits for their similar offenses

Puts us at #11 on the 24/7 rankings. I think this kid will bring in all the big names with him.

That's great to get a QB on the board early. Mullen was high on him and made it happen. Hope that Jones can start recruiting and get some others to commit.

Two years in a row now Mullen has gone head to head with Meyer and got the QB Meyer wanted.

I do too. He's a big grab for us offensively. Isn't he already a 4*? This kid's ranking could even be higher after his senior season too.

    Awesome. (as I've been predicting)

This kid is legit and will be a high 4-star very soon!

Nice tape. Anybody know his completion %. He seems to throw an accurate, catchable ball.

He's over 60%, I'll dig around and try to find stats. He only throws it 10-15x per game, which is fine for a HS spread option. Only 1 INT.

He's apparently up to 205lbs also.

Here's his yardage last year (from a Baltimore Sun article):

St. Frances quarterback Jalon Jones commits to Florida

Jones ran for 819 yards and eight touchdowns last season and threw for 1,025 and 11 touchdowns.

In the Panthers’ 41-3 win over Bingham (Utah) in the GEICO State Champions Bowl Series in December, Jones threw for one touchdown and ran for two. He was 6-for-11 passing for 128 yards and ran for 178 yards.

He apparently has a great personality and will start trying to pull kids to the class (he has 3 teammates that have offers to Michigan, Ohio State, and other big schools).

Love his athleticism. I don't see him making an immediate impact but if Mullen keeps signing talented, athletic QBs every year, we'll have a steady stream of junior or RS sophomore QBs ready to compete every year. Hopefully we get Harrison next year.
