    Defense
 The Gators held Miami to 2 of 13 (15.4 percent) on third downs tonight. The only opponent Florida held under 16 percent on third down last season was Florida State (1 of 14), but it’s the fourth time under Grantham the Gators held an opponent under 20 percent (Florida State; Mississippi State – 2 of 12 / 16.7 percent; Idaho – 3 of 17 / 17.6 percent)

 Four Gators – Ventrel Miller (two – career high), Jonathan Greenard (1.5), Jabari Zuniga (1.5), and Trey Dean III (1.5 – first of career) – finished the game with at least 1.5 sacks.

 Miller finished also set a career high with six tackles. He entered the game with one career sack (came last year against Charleston Southern) and 15 career tackles (his previous single-game high was four, twice)

 Greenard recorded 1.5 sacks and six tackles in his Gators debut  The Gators finished with five-plus sacks for the sixth time

I predicted a rout as much as anybody. But still happy with the win. I understood going in there was a range of outcomes. Range being from the rout I hoped for to losing a close one due to us gifting them the game. Which we came close to doing. There was no scenario for us losing big, not with these two teams.
Seems many get angry when their expectations are not met. They need their pound of flesh, someone has to be blamed because they can't be WRONG! It's why so many can't enjoy a win and must attack.
When they understand that the scenario in which a game plays out is almost always based on a mere handful of key plays, they can better enjoy victories and not overreact to them.

This is an interesting piece of information. That three runs were for a total of 37 yards. The rest of the running game accounted for only 15 yards.

Definitely need to get the running game going to have any rhythm to offense. Otherwise it looks like a disjointed set of plays.

Got to feel bad for the kid. Probably took more sacks than he needed to, but come on.

surprised that Enos would make that kind of statement about a kid with virtually no experience and facing a rush like he had coming at him... disappointed in Enos not the kid

Dumb thing for a coach to say especially since post game write ups essentially praised Williams' poise and ability. Seems like he and the OL coach need to get their acts together.

My little town of Quincy has a lot of Miami fans in it, mainly because there are a lot of migrant workers here from South Florida who work in tomatos.... and A LOT of them here too. During football season there are Canes car flags EVERYWHERE.

That said, didn't see a single one yesterday or today.

HAHAHA! One of the best moments of the game. If you're gonna throw in that situation, first of all huge balls, but to throw it in the middle on a slant or whatever it was is just not smart at all.
