Yup. The staff probably feels pretty damn good about landing elijah huggins.

And it doesn't help that Copeland called out pittman and said hes afraid of competition.

You know Notorious, when a kid on a team tells a prospect who decides to go elsewhere that they are afraid of competing with me, I'm not sure that this hurts anything given how prideful so many young athletes are.

    People on message boards:
Mullin should work the state of Florida, its a waste of time to go after kids in California (for the most part it is).
Then Mulin gets a commit from say TJ Jones or some other Florida kid.
    People on Message Boards:
He is only a three star, You need to get 4 stars no matter where they are from.

    That's recruiting.

I'll always say stay in state. Always.

And, I'll say this if you're going to spend a lot of time out of state on a kid like Pittman you got to get him.

And we really don't know that the staff is really spending that much time in California.

I don't know how much real time spent recruiting has switched from Florida to California, but there is a perception of change in philosophy from Florida recruiting to national recruiting, including significant expenditures in California, because not only does CDM have a guy in Ron English, as a position coach, with a west coast background actively recruiting and visiting California recruits, CDM hired Landers on the support staff as a wholly California recruiting guy. I don't deny that Landers could be a great asset to the program even if he did not have contacts in California as he gets a lot of mentions from recruits, but in past years UF would normally have support staff with strong Florida contacts.

We can afford the free meals and show them a good time

Go to the five stars wherever they are or you won’t get any.
