1-0 so far. Long way to go.
Dimbo got lucky in drawing Okie State.
Gundy rushing a play with the play clock expiring on 3rd and 1 in aTm territory while they had 3 timeouts was a complete choke job. Total collapse by the staff in that 2nd half.
I usually want the SEC to win all of their games, but not in bowl season. SCREW A&M and UGA... always.
All but Uga
I'm surprised A&M won that game. In the first 10 minutes or so it looked like Oklahoma State was going to embarrass them.
I learned a long time ago you can’t judge how a game will go in the first quarter (or first half for that matter). My freshman year in 78 we were up 21 on scUM in the first quarter and I was thinking we were going to beat them 60 something to nothing. We lost 22-21.
Never ever root for the gumps either. The cheatingest program in history.
You’re not a true Gator if you’re cheering for the mutts or gumps.
It's difficult to predict how these teams will perform in bowl games. It's been several weeks since they last played. We don't know how emotionally invested each team is. Did they lose their head coach or position coach? Do they feel like they are being recruited over? Did all the players make their grades?
FAU lost its coach and one might have expected that they get housed by a good SMU team, but the opposite occurred.
Hawaii scored 31 in the first half against BYU; got stymied in the second, only to score an unlikely TD at the end to win.
Miami couldn't muster a single score against Louisiana Tech.
EMU, an 11.5 dog, led Pitt throughout the game, but gave away their lead at the end and saw their senior QB punch a ref.
A&M held OK St to 7 pts in the second half.
I have no idea which Bama, Auburn, or UGA teams will show up to their bowl games. Don't know much about the UVA team our Gators will play. Yeah, these games are about as much a crap shoot as an NFL preseason contest.
I usually pull for the SEC in bowl games but I hope Jawja and Bama get steam rolled. The rest..if they win okay and if they don’t..Oh well! Just want to see the “W” in the Orange Bowl....Go Gators.
I always mentally throw out the first drive by each team to get a true feel for how the game might go after the nerves of the first series wear off. Then, you start the game (and hopefully you've spotted yourself 7).
I learned that refs' cash deposit at different times in the games.
SEC In The BOWLS:
2 - 0
Well, for me I’m not cheering for Jimbo. I’m cheering for the Aggie Players and Texas A&M. I think adding Texas A&M to the SEC WEST was great! I really like their traditions.
Just read an article in The Athletic (paid) about UGA with a bunch of players sitting out the bowl game or injured, the OL coach gone, up to 1/4 of the scholarship players not at the bowl game. The article repeatedly said "the optics" look bad.
Would obviously be GREAT for us if UGA's shine starts to fade a little, at the same time as ours is on the way up.
In particular, if we AGAIN finish the season ranked higher than them.
Well, guess what if they win it benefits him and makes him happy. I guess you don't mind the collateral damage.
Apparently the "shine is not fading" in the eyes of a lot of these stupid HS kids. Same for halfassu and scUM but to a lesser degree.
Okl St - TAMU TAMU won
Okl - LSU LSU throttled OU
Miss St - Louisville Miss St very erratic this year, could see them losing
VT - Kentucky can see UK losing
Minnesota - Auburn Auburn should win
Georgia - Baylor Leghumpers not motivated could easily lose
Tennessee - Indiana can see UT losing
LSU - Clemson think LSU wins this one
