nothing confirmed about his knee but he came off the field his last series grabbing his right knee (his left has a brace) and limping. Just before he climbed up on stage, the camera was on him and he was bending over grabbing that right knee and was very emotional. He seemed to gather himself and climb the stairs to get up on stage. So it could be a combination of a hurting knee and emotion of the win.
Dominant offensively and defensively today. That’s the Gator standard that Mullen and his staff expect. It was great seeing a complete effort like that on a national stage against a national brand like Michigan.
Gray, as long as Franks plays inconsistent as he does, there are going to be people, including myself, that comment about it. I like the kid, but I think his play (and so do all our beat writers), although improving some, leaves a lot to be desired. As much as you know about football, I’m sure you see it too. To expect something different on a message board full of passionate fans with different opinions is a bit unrealistic. I say this respectfully as I admire a lot of your posts on here. If he continues to miss wide open td’s next year, it’s going to be rough for you! I hope he can get over that hump during the off season (and improve his accuracy even more).
FWIW I'm not a doctor - but used to play one a long time ago. On his last keeper I think he took a shot to the knee - looked more like something hard hit the bone than joint damage. He walked off then bent over massaging it.
Back at the hotel after the game. That was an absolute blast! Florida football is fun again! We were sitting across the entrance tunnel from our band, just a few rows up. Feleipe's diving touchdown, Perine's touchdown, and Chauncey's pics were at our end of the field. Stayed for the whole post game celebration until the last of the players left the field. Mullen made it a point to come up the stairs to salute the fans before leaving. Love that guy! And to top it off, I caught one of the chick fil a sandwiches that they were throwing into the stands. Fresh, hot, and delicious! Absolutely loved the stadium. Beer... Check. Food... Check. And reasonably priced. So glad we made the trip.
