Do you think this individual legally purchased this firearm in DC and obtained the concealed carry permit required to carry it inside the District?

Blood on the hands of the democratic socialist communist party as nothing has changed with their Anti-Israel and antisemitic policies and beliefs.

The despicable murderer was shouting Free Palestine and wore typical terrorist headscarf before he murdered this beautiful young couple:

Victims of 'Free Palestine' Shooting Were Jewish-Christian Couple

The attack is being described as an antisemitic act, given the venue, and given that the suspect, Elias Rodriguez, 30, of Chicago, was shown on video shouting “Free, free Palestine” and other slogans as he was taken away in handcuffs. He also dropped a keffiyeh, the traditional checked headscarf that has been appropriated by Palestinian terrorists to hide their identities, and that is often worn by anti-Israel radicals.

Israel UN Ambassador calls out calls for intifada and antisemitism on campuses and other places:

Israeli U.N. Amb.: Killing of Embassy Staffers 'Consequence' of Calls for Intifada, Lies About Genocide We Hear on Campus

This is left over from the Biden Administration and the current democrats who are antisemitic and anti-Israel.

The Trump Administration has been fighting this out with universities but with rogue federal district judges interfering as they are wanting to do on anything the executive won an election to do.

Lamestream media, my description, contributed to the murders says DC Jewish leader:

D.C. Jewish Leader: Killing of Embassy Staffers Result of Barrage 'in the Media' of 'Antisemitic and Anti-Israel Rhetoric'

During an interview with CNN, Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington CEO Ron Halber said the fatal shooting of two Israeli Embassy staffers on Wednesday “is just an indication of what happens when you’re constantly barraged in the media with antisemitic and anti-Israel rhetoric, and it ends up self-radicalizing people,” and won’t be the last incident of its kind “because people are getting a constant dose of anti-Israel garbage and antisemitism” like false accusations Israel is engaging in ethnic cleansing. He also called for large funding from the government so Jewish institutions can pay for armed security.

He could have purchased the guns in any one of the many states that do not have waiting times for the purchase of firearms and do not do background checks. By the way the point of my post was to illustrate the absurdity of blaming the murders of the Democrats.

It's tragic - those people didn't need to die, and the person that committed the act should be ended.

But the right-wing outrage over this, when 10-20% of conservatives were openly antisemitic before October 2023, really drives me crazy.

and then of course the complete acceptance of what is happening on the ground in Gaza.

And before you tell me that's not real, On the final day of his Gulf tour, the US president told reporters in Abu Dhabi: “We’re looking at Gaza. And we’re going to get that taken care of. A lot of people are starving.”

Maybe, just maybe, enough people have died now (about 50,000 between the two sides) and it's time to end this most recent iteration of the endless cycle of violence.

Yes, but we know by now that the lack of uniform gun regulations enables more criminals to be armed, regardless of where they're from.

For example, a dishonest or criminal person in North Carolina could have purchased a handgun and sold it to this perpetrator. Or someone could have made a purchase from a gun show.

This "what were the laws where someone lives or is from" line is so meaningless that it's almost childish, at this point.

Democratic Representative Jayapal, the current and perfect example of what the American people voted against last November:

    MSN

Jayapal defends students on student visas causing unrest on campuses as a first amendment right. SOS Marco Rubio perfectly expressed the views of the Trump Administration that foreign students are here as a privilege, not to cause unrest and that these students don't have a right to cause trouble:

"Where in the Constitution does it say that the Secretary of State can override the First Amendment protections of free speech?” Jayapal questioned. “Is there a footnote that I missed somewhere?”

Rubio countered, "There is no constitutional right to a student visa. A student visa is a privilege… There’s a statute which says the Secretary of State gets to determine whether someone is a threat."

He emphasized the State Department's ongoing role in visa denials globally, stating, "We deny visas everyday all over the world and we’ll continue to do so." The Secretary maintained that visas can be stripped from individuals intending to “tear the U.S. apart.”

The idea that red state gun laws are somehow involved in this not credible. He is reportedly a resident of Chicago and can only legally purchase a firearm in Illinois, a blue state. So the argument he somehow legal purchased a fire arm in a red state is extremely weak. As is the notion that someone that was deliberately about to commit murder would go through the proper legal process to obtain a firearm.

I’m not very familiar with gun laws. But This guy was apparently on no one’s radar. So he could buy a gun in any state, right?

Not really. He could purchase a handgun in a state he did not live in from an FFL but could not take possession of it there. The handgun would have to be sent back to a FFL in his home state and he would have to take possession of it from an FFL in his state. He would have to pass the requirements of Illinois background check to take possession of the handgun in that state.

Heller and subsequent cases (including McDonald v. Chicago) have made gun laws more uniform around the country ... people are still stuck in talking points from 20 years ago

    My Prediction:

CNN and MSNBC, like they did with the murderer of the insurance company executive, will call for the murderer's innocence because of the murderer's perception that Israel is committing genocide and the destruction of Palestine. The calls will start on these two far-left networks and then move to the larger lamestream media, ABC/CBS/NBC.
