Since we have gone thru QBs, how about RBs. Below based on who I saw play.

    1- Emmitt
    2- Jimmy Dubose
    3- Larry Smith
    4- Fred Taylor
    5- Neal Anderson
    6-Nat Moore
    7-John L Williams
    8- Tommy Durrance
    9- Tony Green
    10- Lorenzo Hampton
    11-Terry Jackson
    12- Ceatrick Fason
    13- Earl Carr
    14- Willie Wilder
    15-Lamichal Perine

Note- I consider Percy Harvin and Wes Chandler WRs, though both ran out of backfield often.

HM- Jordan Scarlett, Jackie Simpson, Jimmy Roundtree, Lindy Infante, Dick Kirk (for only the 41 yd run to beat Bama at Bama), Vince Kendrick (a true FB, but for that win as a RB at Auburn), Deshawn Wynn, Alan the Raven Poe, Jack Harper, Eli Williams, Wayne Williams, Mike Gillislee.

I had James Jones, in my mind, as a FB along w/ Graham McKeel, Don Goodman, Jon MacBeth, Willie McGrady, Tom Christian, Mike Rich, etc. I put John L at RB since he oft times moved to RB when Neal went out and Joe Henderson went to FB.

Gotta have Rhett. Would also add Earnest Graham and perhaps a combo of Rainy/Demps.

John L Williams was a FB, though he may have lined up as RB some. His primary responsibility was FB.

Took it to mean both HB and FB as running backs, though you have a point since if take the term running back hyper-literally then gotta include quarterbacks.

Neal Andre was an interesting story. First he was from my dads hometown and my aunt was his HS English teacher. He was also in one of my classes at Uf. Bear Bryant recruited hard telling him that Bama was switching from Wishbone to the I for 1982. Neal didn’t believe him during that in home visit. Neal signed with UF and Tide switched to the I. Neal was down the depth chart until to UK game when we had injuries. Pell was going to switch James Jones to start at RB ahead of the freshman. Neal went to his position coach and threatened to quit and got the starting nod. Ran for about 200 yards on 25-30 carries, but never broke a long one. Very cold day with sleet. We just wanted to run and control the clock, which we did did to perfection.

Fullback had a much different role back in those days. Today, they are often hybrid offensive linemen/tight ends.

He finished his four-year college career with 2,409 yards rushing and 863 yards receiving.

Technically being the front guy in the wishbone set Jimmy Dubose was also a fullback.

Earl Carr looked like Tarzan and played like Jane. He is nowhere near top 15.
