My first one got smacked by a sippy cup back when a 42 cost 2500. I beat his ass twice.

If that includes the SEC network and if you can skip Thursday night games without missing any games you want to watch, that might actually be an option.

It is almost as if these streaming providers all got together and agreed to raise their prices to about the same level.

Or they got deals past the networks the first go around, now they’re having to pay as much for streaming as they are for traditional cable/sat, so we are having to pay too.

Just get a Roku or Fire TV Stick. Any TV can be a smart TV for $30.

Considering the limited time that mine is on, I couldn't care less.

Yeah, they're terribly inefficient compared to an LED, but you're probably not going to notice the difference on your electric bill.

I doubt that they put out any more than the larger old tube TV's.

Even if off, if plugged in you’re drawing electricity. My bill is $600/mo on the yearly savings plan. I’m a bit gunshy.

I have an old 65" dlp that's still kicking. It's paper light though. No glass panel like your old plasma or a console tv.

Mine did finally die. I took it with me when I moved out of my parents and it made a bunch of moves with me though. The last few years it was kicking, it stayed on 24 hours a day because it wouldn't always turn on again if someone turned it off. Sometimes you could plug it in and out over and over again and get it to come on. Sometimes it would just have to sit for a few days and then it would turn back on.
