Tough to forget, as I recall that was during our string of very serious player arrests, like that one or the heinous “barking at a police dog” offense.

Under Florida law, intentionally harassing, teasing, or interfering with a police dog is a second degree misdemeanor, punishable by up to 60 days in jail.

The most embarrassing thing about this clip might be the police struggling to catch this plodding sandwich thrower. Was he even running full speed?

If i recall correctly, florida did not have the most arrests in the SEC during that period of time yet we were the lead story when it came to "rogue program" and arrests. I believe it was in fact Georgia even under Richt yet Meyer and Florida were always scrutinized.

Edit: i did a quick search. All I found was a count that included maclwain where we eaked out uga 24 to 22 however that may have included the credit card crew. Also, Washington led the country with 31 arrests in that same time frame.

The prosecution of the sandwich thrower shouldn't be unexpected from a US Attorney who hadn't practiced law in the 20-year period prior to her appointment and whose primary qualification for the job was her experience as a Fox News talking head during which time she along with other Fox News infotainment stars perpetuated the false narrative alleging fraud on the part of Dominion Voting Systems which ended with Fox News agreeing to settle a defamation lawsuit for $787 million.

More on the attack on federal law enforcement.

DC native who filmed ex-DOJ worker sling Subway sandwich at federal agent speaks out

The Washington DC man who filmed an ex-DOJ employee hucking a Subway sandwich at a federal agent on Sunday said the man caused a “ruckus” and even appeared to be ready to vandalize a government car before deciding to weaponize the hoagie.

    +

Then, to Dargin’s shock, Dunn threw his foot-long sub at the federal officer, hitting him square in the chest — sending sandwich material flying.

The shocked witness said some of the officers were laughing at the outrageous assault, but he expressed some empathy with the agents.

    +

Dargin revealed he got up close to the desecrated Subway sandwich, saying it appeared to be a Subway BMT, adding, “And he liked banana peppers.”

People disliking this post either don’t get the reference or don’t get the joke or take stuff way too seriously.

At least with NIL players can afford a $1 bag of chips now without resorting to violence. Its too bad Cunningham cant get a retroactive Lay's endorsement deal.

Assuming he bought that sandwich locally, that was probably like a $30 sandwich. That cop was eatin' good in the neighborhood.

We can't have people throwing stuff at them but I'm not sure if it rises to felony level? Anyway, glad he didn't waste a Publix Italian sub at least.
