I refuse to believe he’s stupid enough to publicly put “sports betting” on his Venmo profile. Then again a lot of these kids are straight up dumb so anything is possible.

    Top of the ridge
I think Sheldon at high top sports mentioned that he (Mateer) has gone started deleting stuff…not a great look but not a sign of guilt.
But.. he may be dumber than some thought.

Mateer has reportedly informed Oklahoma coaches that the allegations are false. However, what he did in response to the viral attention has only fueled further speculation.

“Then you started seeing the videos come out where they’re just scrolling his Venmo transactions and you see, oh no, they do show up there,” On3’s Andy Staples said. “Then John Mateer makes his Venmo account private later in the night. We have decided that is the universal acknowledgement that this might be real. It was so dumb that it looked fake and then he puts them private and you’re like, oh, maybe it wasn’t fake.”

Oklahoma's John Mateer hinted at possible gambling guilt with 'universal acknowledgement,' per On3

No worries, he may miss the first half of the Illinois State game.

More likely that Illinois State's QB will be suspended due to this

I think you and I are about the same age, but my old ass still won’t get one of those newfangled Venmo accounts. I refuse to evolve. :p
