Eco Loons Suggest Proliferating A Plague Of Ticks To Prevent People Eating Meat | ZeroHedge

"How about writing a paper titled Beneficial Bloodsucking’ that states it is “morally obligatory” to promote a plague of the lone star tick whose bite can lead to medical problems including an allergy to red meat. Oh, and it could kill you, but more about that later. Promoting these ghastly ticks, which are already increasing in numbers in large areas of the United States, is said to: “prevent the world from becoming a significantly worse place… doesn’t violate anyone’s rights… promotes virtuous action or character”

“If we are right, then today we have the obligation to research and develop the capacity to proliferate tickborne AGS and, tomorrow, carry out that proliferation,” they add.

"Tickborne AGS is said by these maniacs to be a “moral bioenhancer”.

    Right here
Crazy stuff. Similarly, econ loons suggest proliferating a plague of tariffs to prevent people buying goods.

I would be genuinely curious as to whether they were serious or just seeing if they could write a provocative paper that tries to just make a very defensible argument under an a largely indefensible premise.
    Neither would surprise me.

I think they tend to be serious myself and would actually do the stuff they promote if given the power to.

    The irony of natural immunity.

Get bit, immune system reacts, can’t eat red meat any longer.

We already have chronic wasting disease widespread throughout wildlife. Isn’t that enough.

If 2 years ago you had read that RFKjr had proposed this would you have been surprised?

If I read the article correctly, it is saying that Alpha Gal medical products are used in treating cancer and blood clots and that has resulted in about 10 deaths due to reactions to the medicine. Regardless, one way or the other, it is crucial to keep this article hidden from RFK, Jr. So, gator_fever, you are in charge of making sure that RFK, Jr. doesn't see this article.

These two characters (professors) should NOT BE TEACHING in any university. What they are advocating for is promoting disease to us all across our country.

    This is pure lunicy.

At first I rated your comment as "funny" and then it occurred to me that like Swift's writings the paper was intended as satire not to be taken seriously although apparently that possibility went completely by most of the other posters in this thread (valid comment not intended as an insult).

I’ve had a patient who actually had this. They were miserable for months. For them even the smell of red meat caused intractable nausea and vomiting. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

My youngest was just diagnosed with Lyme, and half his face is somewhat paralyzed with Bell's Palsy. More ticks is a terrible idea. Eco Loons is a kind title.
