    Clemente it is.

My favorite position player when I was a kid.

And you really thought that Dave Parker was fast enough to pull this off without two outfielders colliding and knocking each other out?

I read an article on RC recently, it didn't mention the Inside the park HR but it did talk about how great a humanitarian he was. Some of which I already knew but overall just a good person.

    I could ask questions like:

What Hall of Fame Player had the most cards in my collection before my mother threw them out?

Answer: Mickey Mantle. I had at least a dozen of his cards and many from the 50's.

What HOF pitcher rookie card did I get for 10 cents when just going through cards at a shop?

Answer: Catfish Hunter. He was still alive and his card read Jim Hunter. The card is in really good shape.

What was the only rookie card I traded for back when I was in first grade and nobody was collecting cards for money?

Answer: That would be Roberto Clemente. I didn't know it was a rookie card until much later. I loved him as a player and one of my friends had the card and we were both White Sox fans so it took a number of my duplicate White Sox cards to get that one.

Best card I ever got as a gift?

Answer: That has to be the autographed Luis Aparicio card I got as a Christmas present from a friend just before he was elected to the HOF. Little Louie didn't like to give autographs so this is special.

My friend that gave me the card wanted it back. LOL.

Not going to retell me getting the Sandy Koufax autograph and the signed Babe Ruth picture in my step-granddad's tavern.

I had a Don Sutton autographed card and I don't know what became of it.
