    Again, I ask. Had she been a redhead professing her love for Ireland, would the Blaze had printed the story? And if not, what's the difference. Hint, it's based on color!

    This thread reminded me of a song I used to listen to as a kid on my grandmothers old wind up phonograph. There were some great songs back then. Glad grandma kept that old edison phonograph. My aunt inherited it from her, have no idea who has it now.

    Love the song, first heard it decades ago. As a point of information it was written in 1912 by William Jerome (birth name William Flannery) and Jean Schwartz, an Irishman and a Jew.

    Billy Murry was my favorite of all the old recordings she had. His recording of George M Cohen's Grand Old Flag was a classic. Also loved his WW1 song The Makings of The USA.

    OMG, I was just going through Billy Murry's recordings on youtube and came across a recording by Harry Roy from 1931. Billy Murry is no longer my favorite musician from the early 1900s.
