I don't think Trump and his MAGA followers will ever forgive Haley for running against him in the 2024 Republican primaries and even more so for staying in the primaries as long as she did.

Please no Shapiro, he would send all of our money and weapons to Israel.

EDIT: Josh Shapiro now supports a two-state solution. But caveat emptor; for example, Trump supported the Epstein file release before he didn't. Who's to say Shapiro wouldn't change his stance supporting a two-state solution.

I like Condoleeza but she'll be 74 next election. No thanks.

    Nah.

He is so silly putty that he switches mid-sentence.

He has absolutely no foundation. He will never be able to keep the cult together. Cult leaders actually believe themselves. He is a wind puppet, has no idea what the next gust will dictate.

Au contraire. While Dems may seem fractured to outside observers, media pundits and the right-wing blab-o-sphere, they actually agree on far more than you realize.
Further, as Independent / NPA voters jump from the sinking MAGA ship, they will be looking for the folks who can stitch this Republic back together. No-one currently in the Repub party would be seen as qualified or confident enough to clean up Trump's mess. So unless Repubs have a come-to-Jesus moment of their own, they will all be marked with the stench this administration leaves.

A.B.T. looks like a clear winner in the next presidential race.

Most V.P.'s are not so blatant with the bootlicking, and don't do so much of it in public. Most are very silent, except to occasionally repeat what the president says, and maybe clarify a thing or two. It is a little off-putting that Vance chooses to repeat Trump's racist lies, for example. I don't recall Pence doing that. A V.P. can't call out the president as a liar, but he can choose to remain silent. Pence was V.P. to the same idiot that Vance is, although Trump had many others in his cabinet in his first term to try to talk sense to him.

I don't know that Vance would be a good president, except possibly in comparison to Trump. I would be concerned that Vance would repeat Trump's mistakes of putting sycophantic Fox News hosts in the cabinet and pretending that he's infallible: i.e. continue the con.

I think Trump has infected the party criminal organization so thoroughly that there no longer are any Republicans that would be a good president. I certainly may just not know. A dead giveaway for not being such is anyone who's adopted Trump's lame "strong man" gesturing of pointing and fakely trying to portray strength while speaking. Meatball Ron is the best example.

This guy seems like a possible exception.

'It's high season for hypocrisy': The godfather of the Indiana GOP slams Trump's redistricting push

INDIANAPOLIS — Former Gov. Mitch Daniels said he didn’t “see the point” of redistricting in Indiana, just as Vice President JD Vance was in the state pressing Republicans for an edge in the contest for control of the House.

“It would just be wrong,” Daniels told POLITICO. “People there have a right to pick the person they want.”

Daniels had sharp criticism for President Donald Trump’s redistricting push, saying the president “could’ve just kept quiet.”

“By spouting off in that way, he turns it into this partisan wrangle that we now see,” Daniels said in the interview.

As long as they believe in checks and balances and uphold the constitution. Oh, and remove all the gaudy gold crap in the oval office.

New polls indicate that Vance will almost certainly be the republican candidate for President in 2028. History says there is an 80% chance he will not be president in 2029. Of previous vice-Presidents who ran for President, only one of the last five was elected: George Bush, Sr. Bush was highly qualified after spending his whole life in first the military, and then in government service, including being head of the CIA. He was also V.P. under one of the most popular presidents in modern history, Ronald Reagan. The other four V.P.'s who ran for president were Richard Nixon (1960), Hubert Humphrey (1968), Al Gore (2000), and Kamala Harris (2024). None of those four won the presidential election on their first try. And since Trump's popularity is fading fast, I would say there is essentially no chance that Vance will be elected. He has to hope for a political Hail Mary pass getting caught and taken to the end zone, like the democrat candidate getting caught having relations with his neighbor's dog on a home security camera that was accidentally broadcast nationwide in real time during the Super Bowl. Just pulling a Gary Hart won't be enough.

I really hope Vance wins the domination. It would be a gift to the left
