Apparantly he went from 20 million listeners in his FM heyday to just 125,000 now. Pretty wild drop off. I remember when he signed that deal, and back then it seemed crazy because I didn’t think Satellite radio was going to make it. I’ve never subscribed, though I’ve bought a few cars that came with the free 1 year trial. :p

Still never listened to Howard Sterns show.

He was a “shock jock” by platforming undesirables like porn actors and DJT.

Then DJT paid porn actors off and became Your Leader.

We are fresh out of shock.

Lol... yeah, because Making American Great Again is so filthy...dirty.

It's dirty ONLY to the communists in our country that want to "reset," "fundamentally change," our entire country in the model of a Karl Marx dystopian nightmare.

I used to listen to Howard stern about 15 minutes day while driving to work back when he was on FM and thought he was funny. Haven’t listened to him since he went to satellite radio.

I think you missed the part of the OP that mentioned the name Trump

Is saying someone has TDS a requirement for a Trump supporter when they don't have a logical rebuttal?

Sterns best work was actually on AGT and when he had bands play live in studio.

The shock jock junk was just middle school.

I'm not sure when their rift began (actually I do, it’s when Stern started criticizing him), they used to be such good pals. Trump used to be on Stern's show regularly, bragging about all the barely-legal trim he was getting, like the class act he is.

Gen X men are Trump's best demographic, and I 100% guarantee they were Stern listeners at some point lol

I thought that movie in the 90's was pretty funny, Private Parts. But you are right, I think he's funny but I don't have the time to listen to him for a couple hours a day. It seemed like to catch on to his schtick you needed to listen more to be familiar with all the characters and bits.

Don't have a problem with him being cut if he's not getting the ratings either.

He litteral does this every time his contract is up ... "Gee, I don't know if I'll be back, negotiations are not going well, this might the be end for me"... For months ... Then announces he's coming back at the last minute.... It's for attention and ratings.

The very hypocrisy of their anti-cancel culture, has made them the new cancel culture.

I’m a Stern fan. His show has always been entertaining, and when it crosses the line, I just flipped the channel.

He really changed his act as he aged. He became one of the best interviewers around, getting his interviewees to reveal things never before revealed.

Regardless, he’s been talking about retirement for at least five years. And every time his contract comes up, he threatenst retirement and Sirius ups their offer. It might just be that Sirius won’t pay his demands, and Stern might just be okay with that.

You have to appreciate that Republicans still cling to a "Howard Stern is Filth" position while moving to an embracing flying the flag half-staff for Hulk Hogan position. The mind contains multitudes. I cant think of the modern GOP without "shock jock" culture.

I agree. Stern was the best interviewer in the industry for a good number of years. But, time marches on and the advent and now mass acceptance of podcasts have flooded the market with all sorts of really great interviewers and interviews. That’s a credit to Stern as he changed the celebrity interview game.

Sure, there’s hate for Stern and I understand it. He understood it, too, and was rewarded handsomely for it. He’s worth hundreds of millions and, financially, hasn’t a care in the world. No matter what happens next, it’s clear the guy won.
