Are you sad that your daughter is losing this taxpayer funding? If her education is something from which she will benefit, is it not worth her paying for it? Afterall, she already received a taxpayer subsidized education at a very good school.

I’m all about Apple producing more jobs in the U.S. if possible, but it’s going to be a logistical nightmare making all of that happen. Also, Apple lost its innovation many years ago and just produces the same boring product every year with zero thought or creativity behind it. I switch to a Samsung S25 Ultra recently from Apple because I got bored of the product, and it’s like Apple is 15 years behind in technology. It’s staggering how much better a device it is, not to mention they continue to push the boundaries with things like foldables, which Apple hasn’t even gotten to yet. It’s a shame Huawie isn’t allowed to sell their smartphones in America, those thing are truly groundbreaking.

I'm sad for your ignorance. NSF awards fund higher education and research, which in turn provides us with advancements in our Country. Many of these advancements you use and rely on in your own personal life.

While Trump is attacking and taking down our elite universities, researchers and institutions in his culture war, Xi is doubling down on investment in science and technology and playing the long game to take the leadership role in innovation. Students and researchers will soon be leaving the US for China to be trained and supported instead of the other way around.

Just doing the same thing all these countries are doing to reduce tariff rates. Just tell Trump you're going to invest some number of billions in the US. Not that it's ever going to happen, or if it does happen it was going to happen anyways. As long as Trump gets to claim credit for it he's happy. Trump is a fool.

I remember how angry the Trump folks were when I called that out on like the first page of the thread celebrating the amazing deal. Foxconn are masters of the government scam game. The fact that they were already caught doing it and did it again...you have to respect the game.
