The national champion almost always has a badass fline. Lsu a few years ago not so muck but thay is an outlier. Oline too for that matter
I see UK has offered Carsyn Baker. From USA Today Running back Carsyn Baker committed to the Florida Gators back in June, but the Wildcats and coach Mark Stoops aren't throwing in the towel yet. They officially offered Baker a scholarship on Friday. Baker is 6'0", 195 running back out of Georgia. He is currently rated four-stars by 247Sports and is ranked as the number 17 running back in the 2026 class, and the number 178 player overall. The Gators landed Baker over teams like the Michigan Wolverines, Florida State Seminoles, and Texas Longhorns. The Wildcats are now joining the party. It might be too late, but the Wildcats have a history of developing NFL running backs, and don't currently have many scheduled for 2026 and beyond. We'll continue to follow this story if anything changes.
And when Clemson was GOOD they had a great DL. LSU didn't need such a good DL bc their Offense was unstoppable. Ohio State had a first and two second round picks this draft.
From USA Today The Georgia Bulldogs have the best recruiting class in the SEC and all of America. Over the weekend, landed a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Anthony Lonon. Georgia beat out Georgia Tech to land the talented defender from Clarke Central High School in Athens, Georgia. Will this effect Sone? What say you?
That commit, probably no effect since listed at 260. Sone is still the Alpha DT in the class. With Sone and if Seven Cloud stays in, there are four DT/DL in the class. Thing is, we hope to have 3-4 DT types so our numbers story is the same.
