I feel like I've been unable to see the forest for the trees ..... and ignoring the genius of Trump's economic "policies." Let's take a look; 1) He pushed through $4.5 trillion in tax cuts, mostly for the rich. 2) To do so, he cut all sorts of social services for people, including throwing an estimated 11.8 million souls off Medicaid. 3) His tax-cut bill will add an estimated $3.5 trillion to the debt, which will (ostensibly) be paid for by the average American taxpayer. 4) His tariffs obviously are a tax on the American consumer - largely paid by the average person who is not rich. He has not only conducted a massive transfer of wealth from the average American to rich Americans ...... he has actually conned his group of MAGAphile voters into rabidly supporting all of this. When we look at what Donald Trump stands for, and has stood for his entire life -taking for himself and getting someone else to pay the bill- it is pure genius! It is one of the greatest con jobs in American history! It had heretofore eluded my what a tremendous job he had done of conning people for his own ends. I had looked at each piece as just it's own little bit of economic stupidity. But when it all is put together - it's genius! (If screwing people for your own gain is the goal, of course. But we know with him that it is.) Edit; and just wait until he abolishes the Dept of Education and ends special education services and student loans, among other things, for so many of the average people in his base. And they love him for it.
Trump has raised taxes. Direct went down with OBBBA, indirect went up with tariffs. He’s a Libby making the government rich.
Said it before Donald Trump is the greatest conman in history. One quality of a truly effective conman is that his marks do not realize that they are being conned. Even as their taxes are increased and their benefits are being reduced most of Trump's MAGA supporters will continue to support him not unlike the former students of Trump's phony university who believed that they could become successful real estate investors when the real purpose of the school was separating them from their hard earned dollars. While MAGA voters are or will be suffering from the real effects of his policies they will continue to support him because he has effectively scared them into believing that their teenage daughters could be forced into competing against "genetic males" or that they may be victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens although the probability of the former is incredibly small and in the case of the latter they're more likely to be victims of crimes committed by native born American citizens than undocumented immigrants.
I consider it a compliment. Her posts tend to more accurate and insightful than most of the posts in support of the current POTUS.
While your comment is clearly off-topic, I personally don't mind it, or the intent to insult. However; this is a slippery slope - this "of the same mind" line. For example, what if people started tossing around; "What's it like to be of the same mind as people who cast presidential votes for a guy who rapes women?" Or, to be more accurate; "What's it like to be a person who cast a presidential vote for a guy who rapes women?" Slippery slope, isn't it my dear, good sir?
