Trivia about Nolan Ryan. In addition to his 7 no-hitters, he threw 12 one-hitters. Of those 12 he lost 5 no-hitters in the ninth. Just think about that

To round out this incredible string of stats—he had 18 two-hitters and 32 three-hitters.

What player is the only player to hit 50+ home runs and 50+ doubles in a single season?

I was thinking either Mays or Mantle but back then taking chances stretching singles to doubles was not a thing.

Then there was a real drought of 50 HR batters.

    Nope on George Foster.

Maybe a guy like ARod or Albert Belle.

Still holding a question open here with regards to Ryan’s stats.

Albert Belle is the right answer.

    Hell of a hitter.

I did look up Babe Ruth after you said "no" and he came close.

That’s the number. Ryan had four seasons when he had more strikeouts than number of base runners allowed.

The marvel of this to me is these seasons occurred when Ryan was 40, 42, 43, and 44 years of age.
