Hope he plays at least half of the opener. He needs to get timing down with new receivers. We’re probably going to see a lot of miscommunication early.

People can bacon me all they want. My respect for what DJ has done is off the charts. However, as high as the expectations were last year, they are even higher now. Stratospheric. I bet DJ is the kind of man that says “F it. I’m playing.” Betcha the staff is primary player in booting him up.

But the facts of chronic injuries are forming a pattern. I don’t like it, but there it is.

I know football isn't basketball, but the number of calf strains that have lead to achilles injures is concerning. I hope the boot is just to rest the calf and not risk it turning into something more serious.

The season is over..I`ve wasted my money on Miami tickets, wasted money on airfare, hotel ,rental car. Haven`t even started practice and the QB has pulled up lame. WTF is going on?

AR and DJ both came into college as big strong men, that seem to be injury prone. I wonder if their muscles and bone structure has grown faster than the tendons and ligaments that connect them. I hope that these are just random injuries that can happen to anyone but I wonder if they are more likely to get injured because of their physique at such a young age.

Sure, but having to send a true Freshman out is a dice roll I'd rather avoid if possible.

Wish we had a veteran Appleby-type QB hanging around. If DJ goes down, the season pretty much goes kaput.

DJ wants to play and he will do everything in his power to do so, but not practicing is a problem. Getting in game shape is important, and he won't have that right away if he can't shake whatever is ailing his calf. I'm hoping for the best, but at this point, if he doesn't practice enough, its looking like he won't play the first game.

No way to sugarcoat it. Lagway's continued health issues is a concern; an alarming pattern.

It's weird how some players just have injury problems all the time, like Devin Moore and AR. AR's injury problems still haunting him in the pros.

I love Dj and I don’t question any of his work ethic or heart… We saw that last season… And it’s probably nothing and maybe even a little gamesmanship… But I will say, we are in a brand new era with NIL and part of this conversation has to be at least considered that we may be in a load management situation

Sometimes it's the fickle finger and a player just has a run of bad luck, and they have injury issues for a while. When Fred Taylor came to the JAGS the fans bashed him (Fragile Fred) without mercy. Now their pissed that he isn't in the Hall of Fame
