I play with some social players and we have all these rules, including one in which you can play from where the ball crossed OB. With those guys if we played strict rules we’d never complete a round. But no one does any of this lunacy. We might sometimes debate exactly where the ball went out, but no one is putting on a clown show like this.

I sat in on a jazz set at a pub in Glasgow in 2016. On my way out, this young man grabs me and says "Yur fakin' gud mun!" I did a double take for a sec, then realized it was a compliment. Wife and I had a harder time understanding people in Scotland than Brazil or Japan. Really loved Edinburgh . . . what a city.
