Hopefully the boot is more precautionary than treatment oriented. Regardless, I’m glad we don’t start the season with a ranked team for the 4th year in a row. Bring on the cupcake….

Core and shoulder injuries lingering from last season.

At least that was the word.

At media days he declared himself to be 100%.

 

Today ain't media day.

DJ might be a thoroughbred but it seems he can't make it out of the paddock. Our last once-in-a-generation QB played, and won, a HS game on a a broken leg. It seems we don't have that.

 

Personally find this uncalled for. Kid had a hernia and jacked shoulder last year - both of which I believe carried over from HS.
We don’t know what the deal with the boot is.. may just be a tweaked ankle and he is protecting it.
How about we let the 19 year old play out the year before down playing his toughness or commitment.

 

Toughess nor commitment cant be questioned. Constantly being nicked up cant either.

 

Time to consider running the WISHBONE as a backup plan -

Webb at QB, Baugh and Jackson - To quote some old geezers from Bama - "Run the damn ball".

Seriously, this is discouraging, well, hope he can heal up and get ready, but he really needs to practice, he did not get much in spring ball.
