I thought Democrats were telling us we were imaging things when they were in power.

If I didn’t know better I would say that looks like transitory inflation.

Democrats posting that graphic is a great example of the irrational nature of the liberal dogma.

I just have to go to the store, I don't need a chart.

The point is, the sharp incline happened in 21 and 22 and the Dems were dumb enough to post that.

The point is that the rate of increase is no different than the last two Biden years and I am not sure the sudden spike almost 2 years after the pandemic started is a "we all know why" thing.

    It was a dumb graphic.

Trump promised to lower prices on day 1. The fact inflation hasn't changed from Biden's last 2 years is a failure in Trump's part. Not to mention, the last inflation report was the highest since December, and food was at 3%, outpacing many other categories.

Yes, the post COVID inflation was higher. But that was global, with the US being around average. That's not the case now. Our inflation last month was 2.7%, and Canada's was 1.9%. And both would've been lower if not for Trump's tariffs.

As for food prices, just wait until we feel more tariff effects and immigrant labor shortage effects.

This is a thread for ignorami.

Inflation was going to pop in 21-22 no matter if a hypothetical Jesus Tebow Trump were president. Probably no differently than we saw. Same thing with border crossings of people coming here to ..... wait for it ..... fill the suddenly strong demand for employees.

If there's any new or meaningful information in that graph, it shows that Trump quite obviously failed to magically reduce inflation like he promised lied he would. But of course anyone with a brain new he was lying because his "plan" was only to increase oil drilling, LOL.

To be fair, nobody else would have likely instantly decreased inflation ..... but at least they didn't lie that they would. (And maybe Trump's dumbass tariffs are adding to it already. )

So all in all; failure of a thread as interesting or informative debate. Winner as a troll. Which we know was the intent anyways.

The rate of inflation needs to go down. It was heading down when Biden left office. Supply and demand was the "why"

It’s a dumb attempt to look at inflation by democrats, but silly righties do that same mistake of “can’t read charts” on here all the time.

Not surprising. Something around half of Americans are economically illiterate.
