My wife and I dined at Spurriers a few weeks ago as we were passing through Gville. The atmosphere and displays were awesome; hard to believe the quantity of items in there and that Heisman is massive.
We both were disappointed with the food; the menu is limited, our items were average, the bottled table water is warm, and it is too expensive for what you get. Jerri’s cookies were good, not unlike warm Pillsbury cookies in the tube.
We are glad we finally saw it though!

Batesy has an uncanny ability to capture the nuances of an image and he paints with a highly proficient technique. :emoji_upside_down::emoji_upside_down:
Sarcasm aside, that was a fun watch. Thanks

Art is good for the soul. I encourage everyone to make art. Except James Bates.

I like Bates' art. It's done in a caricature style and reflects his youthful exuberance.

I had a brief stint as a school music teacher at Lawton Chiles Elementary in Gville. Had a beautiful little blonde haired 2nd grader w the last name of Bates in one of my classes. On the day of our concert, there was daddy James. I didn't take the opportunity to chat him up, but it was kinda cool to teach his kid.

Saw the portrait on You Tube, good for Batsey and coach Golden.
