    Russians overwhelmingly support their government. Ergo, you cannot hide your transparent hatred for Russians behind “Putin this” or “Putin that.”

    But this reasoning is flawed even here. There are volumes of Americans who support Trump. I don’t like Trump. Many despise him. Does that make the anti-Trumpers haters for all Americans? Of course not.

    Nothing in the US is remotely analogous to trends in Russia. Americans are deeply divided. Russians are not.
