What I continue to find humorous is that the DOW index is all multinational corporations… meaning their profits and stock price multiples are NOT US centric.

The DOW is just a barometer of money going into the DOW index companies — meaning a perceived safe haven. The DOW P/E is close to 76… let that sink in when considering the lifespan of an American male is say 78. Shrug?

What goal post move? You said the Dow hit a record high in December. I was agreeing and providing the actual date.

Out of curiosity I had to look this DOW thingy argument. On Trump’s last full day in office the Dow closed at 30,930.52. On Biden’s last full day in office the DOW closed at 43,487.83. I also read that basically the reason the stock market is no longer rattled by the tariffs talk by Trump is because investors are no longer taking it seriously because, you know, TACO.

Having said that has anyone seen the price of coffee? I think that’s what most Americans are looking at is that the price of food is still going up with seemingly no effort by our government to get it under control.
