Yes, you may think whatever you want sir. And in that benign phrasing, you are probably correct. However, there are several very relevant additional points to keep in mind; 1) The "Mainstream Media" has pretty decent standards of journalistic integrity. NYT, WSJ, WaPo, yes, CNN. (And never mind comparing it to the cesspool that would be its replacement - podcasts such as Joe Rogan, Alex Jones, Tucker Carlson, etc.) 2) There is a veritable assault in our country against facts and truth. The main perpetrator, of course, is the most dishonest national politician we've seen in modern times, and a complicit right-wing "media." To compare as equal those purveyors of dishonesty and outright lies to legitimate media is not only inaccurate, it is to further their dishonest goals, to the detriment of America.
The fact that you lumped Joe Rogan and Alex Jones together, just proves you aren't qualified to debate me on this subject. You are the one with the comparisons. My "benign phrasing" stated exactly what I intended. If a chef serves you a turd sandwich and the next chef only rubs a little turn on your otherwise normal sandwich, you still really cant trust either chef.
Sorry, the vileness and level of integrity from right-wing, and not-right-wing media is not the same. Similar to the politicians. Clever metaphors notwithstanding. Not both sides.
Compared to the guy you voted for for president - correct. Plus, he's a comedian. They generally have a lower bar for what they say than, for example, public figures. Plus, what did he ever say that was vile or vindictive? I'm interested, if you can elaborate please. TIA. Edit; also, S Colbert isn't really a representative of a political party. Or part of "media." So not really a good comparison.
How so? I am not fan of Rogan. But Alex jones is pure evil. But I certainly take no advice or direction from either.
They're more similar than different: long-time welcome members of the Trumpy "media" diaspora. Both welcomed by MAGA, Trump and Trumppublicans. Similar to neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes, who dined with Trump at Mar-a.Lago. Ya know- BOTH SIDES! * * like that bad ole Steven Colbert, I've been told.
You do understand he voted for Paul in 2016 and Bernie in 2020 right? There is a thing called nuance. He saw the landslide of social weirdness from the left to be problematic so he made a change this time. I understand that nuance is something someone so gripped by anger and disdain and the extremes of their own side may not get.
Saw the bad ole transgender swimmer somewhere, fell for the "eating the dogs" line, and made the decision to vote for the guy who incited an attack on the Capitol while trying to overturn an election, huh? Interesting. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me!
