Heard some commentary (unverified) that police charges may be dropped. Hope that's the case. We shall see. Manuel was slotted as a depth piece if I understand correctly.
From what I've seen and heard the charges may have been technically correct but Manuel was honest and cooperative and there's plenty of room to work on a resolution.
Seems to be a correlation with the best teams we've had and players getting in trouble. Maybe an omen. It's a bit unfortunate, and my destain for this stuff is at a pretty high level. (Even though a million years ago I did some dumb crap) Some of it is pretty stupid. And, I hope that it can be resolved. Weapons, out late with weapons, slapping the gals. With the opportunity they've been offered. Man, do school work. Show up to classes. Practice like your hair's on fire. Be a role model for the other players. Not a selfish distraction. I'm a big fan of protecting yourself. But, if you're 300 pounds and need a weapon while in school on scholarship. You're hanging out in the wrong neighborhoods or have the wrong friends. Get that Polk county sheriff to come talk with the players. Again, let's hope it can be resolved. Go Gators!
Next up bad news will be Andre Debose tearing his hamstring and will be out for the year...can it get any worse?
