Of course he doesn't know. Neither does anyone else up in DC.

When we last balanced the budget, Dems and Pubs spent a year arguing over how long it would take.

Dems said it would take 10 years and
Pubs said it would take 7 years.

The final bill passed in 1995 was a 7 year plan, but it made Pubs mad, as it was closer to Clinton's bill than it was to Newt's, with most of the cuts coming in year 7. (based on CBO scoring)

Even dear old Ross H. Perot (who ironically ran on balancing the budget in three years) said it would never balance the budget.

We had a surplus within 3 years. Anyone who says they saw it coming is lying.

Who are you quoting there? "get the jab, comrade!"????

We believe in the constitution, protecting children who are born, and global warming, which by the way doesn't mean it's always hot. It's a disruption in the global weather. My son just got back from a trip to Ireland and Scotland. It was oppressively HOT there. No one has air conditioning, I wonder why?

You think all immigrants are rapists, gang bangers and murderous drug dealers when it's just the opposite. Your president is trampling all over the constitution, but you couldn't care less, as long as your precious 2nd amendment stays. The not so funny thing about that is, dictators take that away last when you have nothing to help you keep it anymore.

Hell no. That's like Shirley Temple cocktails--completely defeats the purpose.

My coffee = Black as night, thick as sludge (and my liquor... well that varies. Neat, mixed, rocks...).

Of course I don't think all immigrants are fenty mules, rapists, gang bangers etc.

...but y'all pretend none of them are, and not only seek to put fenty mules etc in the same category as legal immigrants, you seek to put the ABOVE AND AHEAD of the legal applicants, and in some cases, offer illegals Benny's that our citizens don't qualify for.

....and your loser party goes to bat for--illegal gang bangers, fenty mules, child molesters, rapists... just so they can play Atticus Finch--which requires an angry, unreasonable mob--which ysll have ascribed to...

    ...the majority of Americans.

...which is why your pathetic party continues to flail in Loser land.

PS-I do not own a gun.

You want to see hateful posts check out a few of the posts of those who gave you an agree rating. 92gator is quite kind compared to them.

I can agree with you in that there is a lot of hostility and hatred from the far lefts and thr far rights (MAGA)... And it is sad to see the country resorting to that...
But I think if yiu get a "normal" Republican and Democrat talking, for the most part you will have some differences but most of the time it will be civil... That's what I hope we can get back to... might be a pipe dream but one can hope...

You would have to cut ALL federal spending (excluding interest ) by about 1/3, to balance the budget. Social Security, defense, Medicare, Medicaid, the whole ball of wax.

Or, if you didn’t want to touch SS, Medicare and defense, then you’d pretty much have to get rid of close to 100% of all other federal spending

Or jack up the revenue side of the ledger--by taxes. Which Trump--hate on him as you might--had the brilliant idea to seek from merely adjusting tariffs to be more balanced (not aggressively imposing unwarranted or imbalanced tariffs), rather than raising taxes on our producers, which makes us less competitive, less inviting to business interests, and generates less gross revenues.

Again, hate on him as you will, but give the devil his due--figured out a way to "raise taxes"... while lowering them too.

I don't care who you are--that's solid. Ida tipped my hat to Barry, Doh! Biden, sKamala (had she won n done it), or Billy Bob, if any of them had worked that lever.

Dump also said he could end the Ukraine war before he even got in office, so I take this with a huge grain of salt.

Dude just says what ever the hell he feels like saying.

So far he is responsible for blowing up the deficit with massive increases to an already bloated military budget and tax cuts.

He has been making deep cuts to the ants on the elephants back but those cuts will have little to no impact on the deficit.

While we’re talking about the budget, I’m still trying to figure out why — with our Country leading the way the past 50 years with the greatest technological and scientific advancements in the history of the world, with our universities leading the way in cutting-edge research, and the development and training of our children to super-charge the technological revolution — we decided to cut funding to universities, eliminate the DOE, create heightened barriers to obtain education, and indeed revamp the very educational system that pathed the way towards our unprecedented intellectual growth?

Not advocating this, but I foresee an AI tax on businesses with some type of tax credit offset system that is tied to absolute dollar W-2 wages.

IT's not a zero sum game here. We know there are bad people coming across the border. We just believe in doing it the right way, which is what has been the case in the past. If you are arrested for a felony and convicted, you're deported. There is no thought process with the maga party. Kids are not gang bangers and rapists, neither are law abiding immigrants. Again, your side thinks if you just throw the net out, you'll get some gang bangers and rapists, the rest be damned. Then there is the group of people with visas that are being revoked, for no reason, making them undocumented. We believe in leaving the good people alone. You think the majority are dangerous, we believe the majority is not.

Your constant use of the word "loser" allows me to believe that you like the elementary school playground vitriol that this administration spouts. It's kind of a waste of time talking to someone like that.

The data doesn't lie, more than 70% of those detained in crappy conditions (to put it nicely) do not have a serious or even existing criminal background. Some have nothing more than traffic violations.

Trump says he wants to deport 'the worst of the worst,' but ICE data shows 72% of people detained have no criminal convictions

I seriously am starting to believe that those of you who are still cheering from the sidelines with this circus act, are of the same ilk. You people are anything but "pro life" nor are you able to empathize with other human beings looking for a better life. Disgusting.

You know the answer well by now. It's just so vile that we all have difficulty maintaining it in the forefront of our consciousness.

Every meaningful action of the Trump Administration, and his party of enablers is designed to increase the wealth and power of the ...... wealthy and powerful. These actions can be generally classified under either; wealth distribution, providing services, or disabling future social and economic destratification.

^ It's literally that simple. (Although certainly Trump obviously also took steps to allow his own criminality. Those aren't necessarily policy acts.)

Of course it's amazing that he conned so many Americans into going along with this, against their own self-interest, but conning people is what he does.

Put every lasting action he does to that test; does it create an Other - an "Us vs. Them", and does it benefit the wealthy and powerful. It's painful to realize that that is what the power of the American government is doing, but that's the reality. Everything fits into that paradigm.

    ^ And we can put it to a simple test. Do these actions fit Trump's paradigm of;

Every meaningful action of the Trump Administration, and his party of enablers is designed to increase the wealth and power of the ...... wealthy and powerful.

    - Tax cuts for the rich
    - Eliminating the CFPB
    - Eliminating the DoE and
    - Reducing/eliminating college loans
    - Eliminating special education services
    - Paving the way for vouchers
    - Weakening colleges and universities
    - Throwing 11.8 million people off Medicaid.

We could go on, and there are so many more that require more than 2 minutes thought. But that's the obvious plan and intent.

Good game, America. How shameful it is that so many people tolerate and enable this.
