The real story here is that the president purposefully put out a false statement in an effort to pressure a company to bend to his will. It's the same thing he tries with trade deals and ceasefire agreements. Another example that we sadly can't take the word of our own president on any matters.
He did the same with the Ukrainian arms deal. Many of the countries he claimed would buy them for Ukraine were unaware of that fact.
No matter what they do to change it up, all Coke products suck.... Mountain Dew is the only true drink!!!!!
The most American post ever. The funny thing is Trump considers Elon fat, who is objectively less fat than Trump.
What are you talking about!?! maga is all excited and riled up about….soft drinks. Because of course Dear Leader said so.
While I said "You don't see MANY fat people living into their 80's and 90's", it's not like there aren't any outliers. But for Chubby Checkers, apparently he has lost a lot of weight:Chubby Checker Weight Loss: What Sparked the Change?
Figures a Democrat will miss the point. This administration is trying to eliminate the crap in our food. It is just not about soft drinks. This just shows how much Democrats have lost their minds. Democrats will never admit whenever Trump does something good. Their knee jerk reaction is to hate everything Trump does. That is how much they hate the country. If Trump said dont jump off of a cliff, Democrats would line up to jump off the cliff. HEY!!!! THATS A GREAT IDEA.
Cane sugar isn't healthy dude, neither is beef tallow french fries, seems more about some kind of boomer nostalgia, not making food with less crap in it. At best this is like switching from regular cigarettes to menthols.
You've completely missed the point people are trying to make here: Trump spiking the football once again on something he hasn't even accomplished.
Please show where sugar is healthier than high fructose corn syrup. Because neither are healthy. And the most recent study I've found looking at sugar vs. HFCS gives us this. We found that HFCS was significantly associated with an increased CRP level, compared to sucrose. However, we observed no difference between HFCS and sucrose in terms of their effects on weight, WC, BMI, fat mass, SBP, DBP, FBS, TG, LDL, HDL, and TC. There may be crap in our food that if the Trump admin can reduce or eliminate without significantly raising costs, then that will be a win. But replacing sugar for HFCS? That's not going to move the needle much, if at all towards a healthier country. And it will cause prices to rise, because sugar is more expensive than HFCS.
Same is true in Colorado--Mexican Coke is readily available if you know where to look. It is easily identified because Mexican Coke has a green bottlecap.
You can get it in Publix here (along with Mexican Fantas), I'm sure its marked up vs. the Latin markets. I think its sufficiently bougie now in most places that you can buy them in places gringos shop.
If Trump can strong-arm Coke to replace HFCS with sugar, it will be the defining mark of his presidency.
