When I have had tight financial times, I looked at my bills and got rid of frivolous items, but kept those that I deemed morally important, like food. I also looked to increase my income at the same time. Get a better paying job, get an extra job. I didn't ask my boys under the age of 12 to pitch in their pitiful allowances. trump and the maga cult asking that everyday Americans pay more for goods (tarriffs) to allow for more income, and give up needed services to save money, is like asking my kids to foot the bill when I was the one earning the big bucks. Are we really okay with billionaires paying next to nothing in taxes? When Reagan took office, we had a strong and thriving middle class. Since then, Republicans have handed the ultra-wealthy a gift: lower and lower taxes, letting them avoid contributing their fair share to building this country. The middle-class tax cuts expire in 2028 — but when do the corporate tax cuts expire? Spoiler: they don’t.

To the OP, not without changes to Medicare, SS, or Defense. No sacred cows. So far the efforts have been like cutting out Starbucks but adding a vacation to Europe to help the personal budget get in order.
