All due respect, but these are the same people who said nothing sensitive was shared in that Signal chat, damn near forcing the journalist to publicize them because water ain't wet if this administration don't say it is.

Also, she did not deny the policy that she has to sign off on the above 100k contracts. And she says "Everyone was there, the calls were answered" despite their being clear evidence to the contrary (the contracts DID expire and in a window where it would have been impossible for her to have time to restart them before this disaster took place on a national holiday no less).

The people in this administration say ANYTHING and you take it as fact. Then when shown facts they state facts are fake news. It's long past ridiculous. These folks constantly put innocent people in a scenario to FAFO and their followers just keep lining up for it.

I think you’re wrong. Fortunately, the Coast Guard didn’t need to wait for a sign off from Noem to go ahead and save people. FEMA did need to sign off.

 

While the Coast Guard falls under the DHS, it's not part of FEMA. The requirement that contracts of $100,000 or more receive the personal approval of the Secretary of DHS (Noem) applies strictly to FEMA contracts.

 

And fortunately Noem didn't screw up the Coast Guard response like she did the FEMA response.

Kristi Noem is not exactly a credible source. President George W. Bush's praise of Michael Brown his grossly incompetent and unqualified FEMA Administrator when Bush said "Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job" regarding FEMA's response to Hurricane Katrina. Trump could make a similar statement "Kristi, you're doing a heck of a job" regarding FEMA's response to the floods in the Texas Hill Country.
