Aberdeen was a huge contributor to our Championship. Now that he is at UK?

I will be rooting for him except when he plays UF. He was such a huge part of the Gators winning a National Championship, it is incredible that he was here for three years.

I've had big problems with so many past UK coaches, but I don't have any issues with Mark Pope. I actually like the guy and think he's an outstanding coach. That worries me.
Meanwhile, I thank Aberdeen hugely for his days and contributions as a Gator. And I hope we shut him down and beat the Katz by 50 points every time we play them.

You can get the best pastrami sandwich in the world at Katz’s Deli in Manhattan.

Some would argue for Frankel's but without a double-blind RCT, I think your recommendation is safe. Katz's is prouder of their prices than Frankel's, I'll give them that.

I could but I ain't. Nothing against that particular deli, I just rarely eat red meat. Couple times a year, tops.

He’s still playing for pUKe and I won’t be pulling for them. He’s also a former Gator and by transferring, he turned in his colors. Will always be Gator Bait to me.

Keynote Johnson is the he only one that gets a pass as he transferred until unique circumstances

Exactly. I liked him when he was a Gator. He chose to go to enemy territory for the $$; I understand but just like I could care less about how any player performs for an arch-enemy or any opponent, I just have no desire to follow his career at UK. I don’t wish him ill will but he is a part of a team that is in our way and must be dispatched.

Yep. I don’t wish him any ill will, I just wish him nothing. He’s dead to me and I don’t think he deserves to be talked about here anymore, outside of a topic on last years team. Also, I’ll pretty much always be rooting against UK.

I may also give Andrew Nembhard a pass. He didn't go to a rival, and Mike White wasn't getting the best out of him, or anyone else for that matter.

    Aberdeen is GATOR BAIT!!

Personally, I am more disappointed in Jack Pyburn than I am in Aberdeen. His choice. Not worried about his game and what changes for UF. Best wishes.

And yes, I believe both think getting paid today is way better than getting coaching for the next level. They - more Pyburn than 'Deen - clearly don't get what the real world is about in their respective sports. And it is also about Pope outthinking his coaching approach. Can't quite buy a championship anymore. JMHO.

Eh. I think we have to recognize that there are athletes who get encouraged - or downright told - to move along. I’m not going blame a guy for “not toughing it out” with the team, when the coaches have made it plain he’s not in their plans, won’t see any court time, and may not even have a scholarship. Sometimes things don’t work out even with the best intentions of all involved, and if a kid needs to go somewhere else to get something out of his short window, good luck to him.

That said, I was sorry and surprised to see Aberdeen leave. I guess that’s just the new NIL era working.

I will always root for him. Not for the Cats but he was an integral part of the team that won us a natty. He earned an honored place in our history and nothing can take it away. Cats are going to have a very good team next year and will be a huge challenge for us. He is doing what is best for him in his view and I don't blame him.

I will remember fondly of his time as a Gator - other than that, he chose to go play for a rival. That in itself is reason to no longer cheer for him. I wish him the best, but when they play us he's just another UK player

I will be rooting for Denzel. He is a really unselfish kid who stayed for 3 years coming off the bench at UF when he could have moved on. I know that we are excited about getting Xaivian Lee, but whether he is better than Denzel remains to be seen. When injuries put Denzel into the starting lineup, he had a great 4-game run against Vandy, Auburn, Mississippi State and South Carolina. He averaged 16.3 ppg in that 4-game stretch on 23-47 from the field, which included 11-24 from the 3-point line. He also had 10 assists against 3 turnovers. Add in that he is a big-time defender, and I can understand that he would want to get paid like Lee. Chances are that if he played in the Ivy League, he would have dominated. I hope that Lee will be great at UF, but I also hope the best for Denzel.
