How long do you think it's going to be before Trump delays implementation of the tariffs or significantly reduces them or both? Also keep in mind that during his first Administration Trump negotiated the USMCA which described as one of the greatest trade agreements in history. Now Trump 47 is tearing up the agreement negotiated by Trump 45.

I guess you can point to the $16 million settlement by CBS/Paramount in Trump's lawsuit involving the editing of the 60 Minutes interview of Kamala Harris although that settlement would have probably never happened were it not for Trump's implicit threat to use his DOJ to stop or impede the Skydance-Paramount merger.

We should put those sanctions on them just for letting millions of criminals from all over the world pass though their country on the way to the U.S.A. They helped those criminals get to the U.S. That is aiding and abetting criminals.

What is really happening is prices have remain the same to stay competitive. Profits for the companies have been reduced as prices were overinflated and Americans were being ripped off. Maybe consumer expectations have changed because Trump keeps backing off full implementation of the tariffs.

 

Companies had enough time to overstock before Trump's "Liberation Day." That stock was expected to run through June. The actual inflation report for June congress out this week, and estimates have the rate in a June ticking up .23% to 2.6%. Actuals don't always agree with estimates, but it's also rare estimates are so far off that things like increases are expected, and actuals show something completely different.
