The comparison is implicit if not explicit in posts from multiple posters. When a critic of Trump brings up January 6 there are always multiple replies with language to the effect "what about the George Floyd riots?".

 

They're not the same and @ETGator1 is much more of a troll than @ETGator. That being said they seem to be coming from the same place. I would add that @ETGator in his role as a moderator edited one of my posts and threatened a temporary ban because I referred to Trump's MAGA supporters as a cult.

 

Jan 6, how original,yet you don't condemn the current violence. Neither do many elected Deomcrats. When they show me what they are, believe them. All the deflections, word salads, and mental gymnastics doesn't excuse the current acts and calls for violence from the "democrats". Spoken like a true timid soul that has never entered the arena.

 

Democrat elected? Yeah okay.

 

Nah... The Republicans just might need an anti-BLM and an anti-ANTIFA to come close to evening out the violence that the Dems have been inflicting on innocence all across our great nation.

 

Just a reminder Bush won with a larger margin in 2004 than did Trump is 2024 and the Republicans had larger margins in the House and Senate following the 2004 election than they do now. There was even talk of a permanent Republican majority at the time. In 2008 Obama was elected with largest majorities in both the Electoral College and popular vote margins in the 21st Century and the Democrats ended up with significant majorities in the House and Senate and just a reminder the potential Democrat nominees for 2028 include Wes Moore, Andy Beshear and Josh Shapiro, two of whom were elected as governors in swing states (in presidential elections Maryland is hard blue state, in gubernatorial elections it frequently elects Republicans including Larry Hogan twice) and one (Beshear) in a hard red state.

 

The silly thing about the whole cult thing is that the people you refer to as MAGAs have wanted the things Trump is doing long before Trump was ever in the picture. It is not a cult it is a group of followers that back him because he does the things they have always wanted. A cult leader is a whole nother thing.

 

You wanted a guy to pretend to do something about illegal immigration, pardon 1500 violent criminals, and increase the price of imported goods ...... all while stealing as much as possible and starting an unethical cryptocurrency business scam?

NO clarification as to what "things" include ie disappearing Epstein files, betraying Ukraine, anointing Musk etc. Seems as since he made the claim......?

And let's not forget that the overwhelming majority of Trump's supporters bought into his false narrative that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him even though he or organizations supporting him lost over 50 lawsuits challenging the election, his personal media television network agreed to a $787 million settlement in a defamation case based on one of the false narratives regarding the election and his own CISA Director, Chris Krebs a lifelong Republican and cybersecurity expert described the election as one of the fairest in history (Krebs was later fired by Trump for his honest analysis) and then there's Rudy Giuliani who was disbarred and lost a defamation lawsuit for promoting part of the corrupt election false narrative.
