Of course, and the other playground word for CNN is the Clinton News Network.

Does Alligator Alcatraz have 'zero impact' on Everglades? No

If it doesn't impact the environment on his golf courses, Trump gives zero cares. I guess we should be grateful he and DeSantis don't want to drill, baby, drill, or establish a toxic waste dump site there. A detainee camp could be built anywhere, why does it have to be at an ecologically vulnerable location like the Everglades?

Trump and DeSantis like the optics. Cruelty is a feature rather than a bug of their political strategy and MAGA nation loves the prospect albeit somewhat remote of brown people being consumed by alligators.

Cruelty is just the cherry on top of the mosquito/heat stroke/inhumane conditions sundae.

These people haven't even been charged with anything! I can't believe this is legal. The laws they're breaking to get this fever dream up and running...truly lawless men.

    From a Post article:

"The facility was built in just eight days and state officials said would cost $450 million to operate for one year. It will hold 3,000 detainees, according to state officials."

That's a lot of chain link fencing.

I hope that all those Latinos/Hispanics who voted for Trump are enjoying his policies.

The tiniest of silver linings is that it's funny to see MAGAs support this .... and pretend to have a shred of integrity or goodness.

I wish we could fast forward to where they all pretend they weren't really Trump supporters, like they all did with the Iraq war.

So what you're implying is the apprehension of one really bad person justifies the apprehension and detention of hundreds of otherwise law-abiding persons whose only "crime" is undocumented presence in the US including parents and spouses of American citizens? It would also seem that ICE could target those really bad illegal immigrants without casting the extreme wide net in which otherwise innocent individuals are caught including immigrants with legal status even some US citizens and we haven't seen anything yet regarding the apprehension of otherwise law-abiding persons. Once the billions of dollars allocated for ICE in Trump's "Big beautiful bill" actually filters down to the agency and it begins hiring new agents the numbers will increase exponentially. The private prisoner operators who contributed to Trump's campaign will be pleased as will Stephen Miller who never met an immigrant (unless maybe it's a White South African) that he didn't believe should be incarcerated or deported.
