Of course a literal 5 minute primer on the country, its basic history and culture before he walked in the room could have solved this. But it’s Trump who knows everything already and won’t take advice from anyone, so it was never going to happen. And given that he has zero self awareness it will happen next time too. These are such easy wins if we want allies around the world. Act like you care for literally less than a lunch break and it plays great back in these countries. But he can’t even do the simple things. Unless you consider constant self indulgent rage simple.
It was gracious of 45-47 to invite the Liberian government to the White House and give the country of Liberia a platform from which to highlight their potential.

A few things that Trump got wrong in this quick little anecdote: His uncle wasn't the longest-serving professor at MIT Those aren't what he got his degree in The Unabomber didn't go to MIT. His uncle died a decade before the Unabomber was revealed, so it's pretty unlikely Trump asked his uncle about the guy. Just made that up. But other than that....seems pretty accurate. Actually, one more inaccuracy: the Unabomber wasn't a physicist, he was a mathematician.
