    Not sure why that would be relevant. There was already a runway on the land. Is the concern that now native Americans can’t sit out on the runway and do whatever it is they need to do?

    So a DACA recipient is now at this concentration camp. There is no way to shower, they are fed once a day (food with maggots), swarming mosquitoes, and non working toilets.
    A large incinerator has also been constructed on sight. It is over 1,200 sq feet, and while I think it's for getting rid of trash produced there, it's not a good look.

    Yah, showers also might be the last thing those inmates want to see being installed at this point. “Coming soon: Modern Solutions by Zack Lawnby Enterprises”

    As long as they aren't located near the incinerator.

    food once a day? isn't there another thread where people are touting the fasting diet? Sounds like we're just making sure they eat healthy.

    I'm pretty sure maggots aren't a part of the fasting diet

    This is appalling. Actual murderers and other imprisoned criminals (in actual prisons!) are being treated better than those at a "detention center," for "detainees."

    It was in the Orlando sentinel. Link below. If you have to pay I’ll copy and paste the rest.

    Orange County DACA recipient at Alligator Alcatraz, attorney says
    BY RYAN GILLESPIE AND SKYLER SWISHER ORLANDO SENTINEL
    One of the first transfers from the Orange County Jail to Alligator Alcatraz is a 36-year-old who is legally in the United States and was picked up for driving with a suspended license, his attorney told the Orlando Sentinel.

    The man is a recipient of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, a 2012 program that shields undocumented people who arrived here as children from deportation.

    It took me about the same time to search this on Google as it did for you to confess that you don't know much about this topic, and carry on without making any effort to know any more. But here ya go;

    WESH 2 spoke with an Orlando-based attorney Thursday who said her client is one of the first to be moved from the Orange County jail to the controversial detention facility in the Florida Everglades.

    "Never in a million years that I think that a DACA recipient that has legal status here in the U.S. would end up there," attorney Josephine Arroyo said, referencing comments from President Trump and other officials that Alligator Alcatraz would be for the "worst of the worst."

    I do not read the slantinel and again highly doubt what this attorney is saying is true. The bleeding hearts of the world are looking for sympathy for those that are here ILLEGALLY. Pretty sure the kid who was caught driving without a license is why he lost his opportunity to be here. Driving without a license may not be enough for deportation but it is enough for Immigration officials to put a hold on the previously granted visa, and cause them to look deeper into this kids background. Plus from what I have read, what we do not know is how fast the kid was driving.
