No doubt there are heavily armed far left groups out there that are looking for any excuse to get violent. There always have been. I remember the Weather Underground, and Students for a Democratic Society back in the 60’s that would infiltrate corporations like Dow Chemical and commit sabotage, and the Black Panthers. The Animal Liberation Front (ALF) and Earth Liberation Front (ELF) that went after polluters and animal testing labs. Those are in the past but one has to wonder if new far left groups are forming that will commit acts of violence.
I’m sure you have some first-hand experience of the “by any means necessary” approach. In their minds, there is no lie too big. It then leads to violence. Natural progression of things for the left.
This has to be one of the must unaware self-owns I’ve seen on this board. Your own politicians are afraid of death threats for not towing the party line when they control all three branches and you’re just worried about the other party? Makes sense, those death threats are in furtherance of you getting what you want.
And they are more similar to each other than they'll ever be able to recognize. The greatest example of this that I see on a regular basis is an intense hatred of people they don't care to understand. Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
They failed the reading comprehension test in this simple post. Keywords in your post: Republican Legislators. The posters here cannot find any Republican legislators calling for violence, so they conflate crazy partisan people in public to make a point that's just not there. The Dem Party is out of real good policies... so they are now relying on not so subtle passive-aggressive statements that are purposefully stated in their pressers to gin-up their crazies. They know how to bend the rules of decorum and they know how to get the most "action" out of their base voters without crossing the line of actual incitement.
Word to the wise... It's not just one side or the other. It's also not just in the USA. Politics has always been bloody, historically; it's endemic, worldwide. It's a chronic shame in 2025, in so many democratically elected governments, there are so few mature adults capable of stepping out the politiking game and remembering their role is to serve the people. That said - on the matter of violence - we, the electorate, get the politicians we deserve. If we want a non-violent politics, we need to insist all our leaders adhere to that vision and call all forms of it out immediately, rather than selectively. It shouldn't be a partisan issue. If they don't agree, don't elect them. By the by, if you're attached to one side and you only blame the others... you're part of the problem.
Yep the only thing Trump said in his J6 speech that could even be twisted was he used the word fight which has probably been used by every single politician at one time or another. He followed that later in his speech saying that they needed to go to the Capitol peacefully.
Trump received approximately 90 felony indictments. He was convicted of 34 felonies in the only trial a corrupt judiciary allowed to go to trial. Are you seriously this unaware?
Try and stay focused... Talking about the January 6th Dem creation... no charges. And those "trumped-up" charges will be overturned. It's also going to be ironic that the prosecutor in NY that will be the one charged and possibly jailed for her fraud.
Trump was both indicted and charged. Try to stay focused. Edit; Ever feel like your sources of "news" are letting you down? WATCH: Trump indicted on federal charges in Jan. 6 case, Special Counsel Jack Smith announces WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump was indicted on felony charges Tuesday for working to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in the run-up to the violent riot by his supporters at the U.S. Capitol, as the Justice Department moved to hold him accountable for his efforts to block the peaceful transfer of power. The four-count indictment reveals new details about a dark chapter in modern American history, detailing handwritten notes from former Vice President Mike Pence about Trump’s relentless goading as well as how Trump sought to exploit the violence of the Jan. 6, 2021 riot to remain in office. It accuses him of repeatedly lying about the election results, turning aside repeated overtures from some aides to tell the truth but conspiring with others to try to improperly change vote totals in his favor. It says that on the day of the Jan. 6, 2021, riot, he attempted to “exploit” the chaos by pushing to delay the certification of the election results even after the building was cleared of violent protesters. You are so correct judge Juan Merchan was indeed corrupt judiciary and the 34 felonies you speak of were basically all for the same thing which probably consisted of clicking ok on a computer keyboard 34 times.
The "Summer of Love" was all about Dem violence in several cities across the country. The BLM violence cost billions in burned out building/businesses, and dozens of murders were committed by these Dems. Yeah, the Dems are the Party of violence, and it's not even close.
What? You think an insurrection is coming? Democrats are a little late to start with insurrections--republicans beat them to it, under the direction of someone named Donald J. Trump, who exhorted his followers to fight for him. Wake us up when democrats storm the Capitol, and the leader of the insurrection becomes their main candidate for president. (Bold emphasis is mine.)
Some Democrats get angry, and a few even resort to violence. Were your surprised and disturbed by Republican violence? That doesn’t make either one right, but I’m confused why you are only disturbed by Democratic violence
A popular trope among "conservatives" is the comparison of violence and vandalism associated with the "George Floyd" demonstrations and the January 6, 2021 assault on the Capitol by supporters of the defeated presidential candidate. My question is how many of the vandals and thugs charged and/or convicted of criminal acts following George Floyd's death have been pardoned by Joe Biden or the Democratic governors of the states where the violence took place. To the best of my knowledge the answer is zero and in fact Biden publicly stated that they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Not so with the J6 insurgents all of whom have been pardoned by the Dear Leader including those who violently attacked law enforcement officers.
