So what you are saying is that you are well prepared to spend tons of money for collecting more participation trophies than anyone else? That is good to know.

And to get to my salient point, you believe they WILL win it every year because they outspend everyone else, correct? So, you root for the Padres because they are lovable losers? They are your version of a child who is shown on a St Jude commercial because everyone needs a hobby to spend their hard earned money on and a sad situation is the best ones of all? Correct?

Or, perhaps hope springs eternal and so you root for them because to be a curmudgeon is a bad way to tackle life in perpetuity. Sounds plausible.

Question for you (and others who read these posts), why the double standard when it comes to Gator sports, football especially? Just because LSU decides to "go for it" and think they are "Yankees Lite", it means there is no hope for anyone else unless they do the same? Really???

 

I believe bama bought the top classes for over a decade and won seven. It works. Im not expecting we get one anytime soon unless the planets align. We will recruit between five and fifteen and make the playoffs on our good years. I still root for my Padres and theyve been to a couple world series but still havent won. I wont be heart broken if we win nine games and get knocked off by the top rosters. Weve won three in alot of years trying. Maybe we are due.
